One of my absolute favorite places to meet folks for coffee. The inside feels warm and intimate, like youre in someones personal library. The options are perfectly varied and the staff is always on point.

CJ and Ari are amazing! It was my 1st time there and they were so attentive! Friendly and helpful! I got the Raspberry Vanilla, definitely recommend. Thank yall so much 🥰

Ive been to this location and the beachwood one, and I like this one better! It feels more spacious, whereas the beachwood one feels a bit clustered. Credit card/debit card only, no cash, so come prepared. Everyones always been friendly and its calm enough to study in here.

For two years we have driven from Canton to buy their house coffee by the pound. We even ordered online during the Covid shut down. Now we are so disappointed to find out that they NO LONGER TAKE CASH!!! It says “LEGAL TENDER” right on the US DOLLAR!!! What kind of a company is this? They will no longer have our business after almost 2 years and hundreds of AMERICAN DOLLARS. That is an inconvenience to the customer and totally un-American.

This place serves wine and cocktails in the front and has a separate coffee bar in the back. Space and tables are limited but its a good place to have a 1:1 meeting or a serious conversation because there are not many distractions and the space is intimate enough without being romantic if that makes sense. Ive been a few times and both times my drinks were amazing and my conversations were deep and meaningful

I come here all the time. It’s a good place to get work done, and the coffee is great. Fabulous, actually, and they have Russian tea biscuits from Davis Bakery up in Cleveland so that’s another reason to come here even if you don’t want coffee. Quiche is nice too.

I believe NERVOUS DOG has four locations but this one was their first. It has a cool pergola-like patio out front. Even though this sits in a small square retail building with wraparound parking I didnt feel like that was where I found myself.I really believe I was sitting in a Brooklyn coffee bar with an eclectic welcoming group around me.

I love this coffee shop because it is cozy as well as it being a local establishment. It has a variety of coffees, mochas, and frappes. I actually had a mocha called Bon Fire and it was divine! The service was outstanding and the environment was unpretentious. Just my kind of vibe! I will be back!

New store in an old Starbucks. Nice little coffee bar. Prices are good. Park right in front of the door. Nice place for coffee and quiet conversation. I had a vanilla, raspberry frappe. It was good. Staff was friendly, efficient. Decor is quirky but fun. Try it out.

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Akron. The place has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great coffee/tea. Go here often and highly recommend.

Hands down- BEST COFFEE SHOP IN AKRON! Very cozy with dim lighting, comfy little coves to hide in and good product/service. Only gripe and I guess not really a gripe, but more funny story-the restroom requires a key and a trip through a common hallway. I chose the wrong door and ended up in a dance school during lessons. Very awkward for a grown man to stagger into a herd of 5 year old ballerinas who all stopped immediately and stared as I thundered through the door while already working my belt undone.

Stumble across this cozy coffee shop.

Not impressed. Very small and quaint. As long as you want to sit on your neighbors lap youll be fine. An indescribable aroma, not a typical coffee house smell. The vegan cookies were hard as rocks and the hot chocolate was just steamed milk.

Great coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. The atmosphere is warm, but not a bright coffee shop like most others, it is dimly light and gives off an antique store vibe. It is a really great place to study by yourself or with a friend. Service is great as well. Would recommend!

I am fortunate to live so close to such a fantastic coffee spot. Fast and friendly service and delicious pastries! The live music is also a great treat when you can catch it, so much talent in Akron.

If you have a French press get the Jazzy Java in whole bean. One of the best coffees I have ever purchased for making at home. The coffee at nervous dog itself is wonderful as well but man oh man making the Jazzy Java at home is a treat. The Highlander grogg is also very good. The coffee is not very bitter at all its a nice smooth coffee.

Baristas are knowledgeable and not totally stuck up like at some coffee places. They have a wide selection of drinks, beans & sweets. Be sure to join the loyalty program too.

Great coffee, incredible staff, always friendly and knowledgeable and make awesome recommendations. Only complaint is that it’s way too small. I can never find a place to sit. Other than that it’s wonderful.

Five stars because I will drive out of my way for it. I drink black coffee... boring... and at home I make pretty good coffee. But their coffee I cant exactly replicate at home. Their beans are very good.Five stars is loved it. I dont 5 star lightly... theyre really that good. Again, speaking just for the plain black coffee (and the service - always nice bunch).

The coffee is good, but the shop is a bit small. Good for meeting 1, maybe 2, people. I wouldnt use it for larger business meetings. Great for casual ones or catching up with friends.

Never had a bad experience! The employees are all-around excellent. If they dont have something you want, they will custom make almost any drink you want, within reason (a chocolate truffle mint eucalyptus dog frapp just isnt going to happen). If you want a reasonably priced fancy coffee drink go to Nervous Dog and get one. Treat yourself, you deserve it!

This is probably my favorite Akron coffee shop. The coffee is great, the baristas seem to love their jobs, and the environment is comfortable to work in for a long time or just stop in for a bit.The bathroom is shared for the building and is down the hall, which is bizarre, but theres not much you can change about that.

I loved the calm environment walking in, and the staff was super friendly. The Harvest Spice was amazing too! Definitely will come back :)

Best. Environment. Ever. Came here to finish up some sketches and it was a phenomenal place to do so. The environment seemed to lull the patrons into a reverent state as everyone spoke with hushed tones and sipped on their delicious coffee sippables. Probably just made that word up, regardless, keep it up employees of Nervous Dog.

Great coffee but the customer service leaves A LOT to be desired... like most snooty coffee shops... edited on 11-4-18... the guys “working” here deserve a one way ticket to the front door. I wont be back!

This is a great place to work out of, but unfortunately I always feel like such a burden to whomever is working, feeling only like a order or revenue to them. They have decent coffee, but I really come for the space to work.

Like the other reviews, its a great place, but only if youre in and out. It is frustratingly small inside. If youre looking to stay a while, could be waiting a while before you get a seat or a table. Since I usually like to study, I have stopped going there and have found a equally great coffee shop that is not as busy.

This is arguably Akrons best coffee establishment. I drive roughly 15 minutes out of my way to get a cup here. I love the coffee - brewed to perfection. The employees are always willing to chat with me for a minute and they are insanely nice. I recommend this place to all my pals. Nervous Dog encompasses the true spirit of Akron. A great place to meet friends, read a book on a cold winter day, or just take your laptop to study.

Great shop with a nice atmosphere. Dont go here if youre looking to use the wifi however, this has been detrimental to me visiting again. Im tired of waiting half an hour for the internet to come back up, and at that point I just walk out..

This is a lovely and nice environment.. Coffee is good enough and it is good that they are open until 10 pm. Not so far from Univ of Akron if you have a ride! Recommend trying it out!

I have lived in the area for over ten years and I had only ever heard of Nervous Dog. My friend took me here just today and we had a great time. Service was quick and uncomplicated, and my dirty chai was delicious. I will be back again without a doubt!

I would probably be here all the time if I didnt live a block away from Angel Falls. Nervous dog has great coffee and a really nice atmosphere. They seem to be really involved in the community and have lots of cool events going on.
