Gluten-Friendly! Incredibly impressed by the food at Chameleon Cafe. Got lunch here yesterday and had to come back today because the food was so good. They seem to go the extra mile for every ingredient for every dish and it shows! This is my new go-to lunch spot downtown. Also a plus that the staff was very pleasant both times, even though they were busy.

One of the best sandwich places in Akron. Incredibly nice staff, quality ingredients, interesting flavors and sandwiches. Vegetarian/Vegan friendly but also many meat options as well. The coffee is great and the decorations and general vibe are quaint.They close somewhat early (so keep an eye out for that). Mainly a breakfast and lunch place. They can get really busy around lunch time. Front entrance is hard to access right now because of all of the street work. There is a back entrance through the parking garage by the library.Prices are a little higher than some other places in the area, but you definitely get what you pay for. Please check this place out if you are in the area.

The inside is colorful & decorated so cool! There are spots to sit down and hangout. Food & coffee is delicious. Gluten free options are available. Staff is very nice and welcoming! Will definitely come here again :)

Incredible food and drinks here! A nice variety of items at affordable prices. Curbside ordering and pick up was super easy. I am trying to eat less meat and the Sweet Potato & Black Bean Burrito was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Then a Chai latte for dessert! Looking forward to ordering again soon!

I have used Chameleon Cafe on several occasions throught the pandemic for company functions. They have been truly a blessing. They are easy to work with, accommodating, and they dont miss a beat. Their boxed lunches are always on point. Thank you to Mike and the rest of the Chameleon Cafe for doing what they do!

Great service, great food, quaint location.

Great variety of food. Something for everyone. I loved the lime tomatoe grilled cheese and the roasted sweet potatoe salad. Prices are fair for the amount of food. Very unique drinks they always have something new to try. I love thier order ahead option. Lunch time is always busy, so I can just grab and go. :)

Wow! This place is absolutely wonderful. I just started working at an office upstairs in the same building as this café, and have began frequenting it during lunch. The food is always SO delicious, the décor is nice, and above all, the employees are always so friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make sure their guests are satisfied. It is always a fantastic experience. Give them your business, you wont regret it!

The menu options are so creative. Everything I have had here is absolutely scrumptious. I could LITERALLY DRINK that White French salad dressing. It is 🔥!I have Celiac and it is rare to find SO many gluten free menu options combined with staff that are all so careful and conscientious with dietary restrictions.

I definitely encourage people to try this place. They have a huge variety of food and beverage choices, lots of healthy options. Theyre always trying new recipes so sometimes it can be hit or miss and I do wish they had a more easily accessible location. But theyre passionate about what they do. Such a great experience and delicious food! Everything we ordered was perfect- the cheesy chicken enchilada soup, the smashed pepperoni sandwich, the Mexican street corn chicken salad wrap, and the cold brew. I also really appreciated the curbside option with the current situation.

It was my first time here and the workers are very polite. And really strive on customer satisfaction. I ordered two bowls of their Cheddar Gumbo and pita with a Caramel Ice Coffee. Everything was very satisfying. Great job I highly recommend this place for lunch. P.s the length of the wait was 5minutes

Love the Bowl options! Great way to still get to try out the burgers but not feel too guilty (and not worry about not fitting into my bridesmaids dress!).Service was good and the ingredients seemed really fresh. I tried a few bites of the smoked bacon mac and cheese and it was super yummy.

Ive started going here for lunch once or twice a week. Ive tried the cheeseburger panini and the breakfast sandwiches and theyre very good. The highlight, though, is the soup. Every day there are 4 to 6 soups on offer, mostly interesting flavors you wont find in a Campbells can, and they are terrific. The soups that feature meat dont skimp on it. And the staff is very friendly.

A magical place for those of us who work downtown Akron. Choosing what to get is always a challenge because everything sounds so good and taste just as good. I love going there on Tuesdays for their special: choice of grilled cheese (get the Not Yo Daddys one), cup of soup and a drink for $9. I also go there when I feel like eating something healthy, for that I get the Kale Detox salad.The service is A+ and even though the lunch crowd can be big, the food is served within a reasonable amount of time.

I had a very good latte (unflavored) and perhaps the BEST brownie Ive ever had from this place, and at a very reasonable price. If they have their Guinness/stout brownie with stout frosting available, you should absolutely try it! Delicious and huge, plenty to share. Im just waiting to give this friendly place 5 stars until Ive had a chance to sample more of the salads, sandwiches and wraps that my coworkers have said such good things about :)

Cute little place. I ordered to-go just because the inside is pretty small. the food was good (LOVED the soup) and the employees were friendly! although I could hear them complaining about people (kind of annoying) they didnt seem like bad or rude people.

My friend Jeanie, treated me to lunch and I ordered the Cilantro Lime Chicken Panini. I got the half size and next time, I will for sure splurge and order a full size because it was so tasty. I didnt realize how small the half size would be until I received it. The cilantro and house made lime butter were key staples to the panini because they brought out the flavour.

This is my go to when I visit my firms Akron office. Today, I had the Kale and Roasted Corn salad with a maple and something dressing (they kinda had me at maple). Ate this like Id never had food before - it was awesome! And thats my typical experience with Chameleon; awesome food, awesome coffee, awesome cookies (and today, I got asked if I wanted free ice cream, too). Service is always friendly and engaging - even when theyre packed. What more could you ask for?

Great place to go for a quick lunch in Akron, probably the best option. Good sandwich, great coffee and craft sodas to try, and awesome desserts. You can tell that the people at chameleon cafe really put care into each menu item.

This is a great little place. Laid back, almost cozy feel. My coffee was great and the people running it are super friendly. I will definitely make this a regular stop after class.

Breakfast and lunch served. Lots of soups, sandwiches, salads, coffee drinks and sweets. Home-made by the staff, always fresh. Friendly staff and pretty quick service. If you can, try going just before lunch rush, because there will be a line.

The employees were awesome. I was a little afraid to go in with my little baby (less than a year) just because... Well... Baby... But they were so nice to us, they literally cut up her little egg into bite size peices... Delivered my good to me... Just all around awesome service, not to mention the coffee was starbucks X 10

They have a wide assortment of food. From soup, to sandwiches, to paninis, to salads, to cookies and some other stuff ... My favorite is the Thai taco wrap and the cilantro lime chicken panini. Heather is the best, can I get another free cookie now? 😉

Went there once and ordered a carmel swirl frappe of some sort. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the drink and the multiple options and flavors they had available. Their menu also consisted of different kinds of breakfast/lunch foods which I am hoping I will be able to try out. Their starting hours are a bit inconvenient for me, and many other students at the near by university, so I am hoping they will extend their hours till the evening or maybe even stay open on the weekends. Love the decor and look of the cafe! Ill be back for sure.

Just tried the smashed meatball and gouda grilled. AMAZING! The marinara was a perfect addition as a dipping sauce for this sandwich.
