Great Hidden Gem in the town of Akron worth checking out if youre in the area just driving through especially if youre into nostalgia and the 70s and they have great pipes election posters so much more the previous owner Ron was a very kind and grateful and the new owners are just as great. Hoping they do well in the years to come they have been in business for over 50 years in the area.

They have a nice, quality, selection. They have the best selection of incense around. The employees are always very friends and very helpful. It’s simple to find, ive never had an issue finding somewhere to park.

Good variety of smoking material. Clothes posters etc.

Big open room with interesting pieces, clothes and decor. They have a nice sale every month with 30% off. The workers are nice and I didnt feel too pressured to buy anything. I enjoyed my purchase and plan on returning now I know where it is located. It was a little confused finding the place. The sign is small and you have to walk into a building and up the stairs to arrive.

Way cool place, reminds me of head shops when I was a teen (70s) I will return

Walking into the building you feel like you might have the wrong place and took a wrong turn, but after walking up the stairs and into the store you will be quickly reassured that you made the right decision. Ron (the owner) and his nephew Rod are some of the nicest, most genuine people youll ever have the chance to meet. Upon making a purchase Ron marked down the price just to be nice and even threw in a few other goodies for free! Youre not going to find people who care for their customers like that anywhere nowadays. Couldnt recommend A&OL enough. Dont forget to say hi to Booger (the shop pug) while stopping in!

The experience was excellent. After going to Twisted Headz and The Odd Corner they didnt have what I needed. I went to Are & Old Lace. The owner and the employee that helped was very polite. I left super excited. Next time you will be my first choice.

I have never been so satisfied with the level of customer service and appreciation at a headshop. The owner will make you feel like you could come back 3 years later and he would remember your name. Its a bit hard to find as it is on the 3rd floor of an otherwise empty and shoddy building through an extremely inconspicuous door, but once you walk in you feel like you just entered Narnia.

Best experience guaranteed. This place is beautifully run, there is a great personal touch, an adorable pup to greet you, and amazing quality products. Would & have recommended to all.

When it comes to head shops in Akron, there is only one you should go to...Arsenic & Old Lace is it!! Great selection of glass whether youre looking for large or small. As soon as you walk in you smell that classic Nag champa smell and a friendly greeting.

This guy knows how to treat his customers. He always has sales on the first Saturday of every month and urges folks to come back then to make their purchases. Good guy, great selection, good atmosphere and interesting location.

Best around the owner hasnt changed a thing and he is willing to order you something if they dont have it

Sir Ron of Arsenic 💕 Hes like a blend of Paul Mooney (the comedian) and Raymond Reddington 😎 (The Blacklist). This dude is awesome!! The store is the absolute BEST!

This guy (The owner) IS THE DUDE and is one of if not the oldest Head shops in the US. He has been at that location for ever, I grew up in that neighborhood so I know. always Cool and fair, reasonable prices I ranck it up there with stone hendge or the sixteenth chapel, its an iconic land mark

Ron was helpful as he has been for years and gave us an awesome deal as always. Ron passed away last night. An Akron icon and legend. RIP and thanks for the memories.

I called to ask if they carried cbd cartridges. He said no because they area head shop???? Every head shop caries cbd cartridges. A head shop should carry all cbd types I would think?! It doesnt seem very wise from a business stand point not carry that when your in the head shop business. He said we arent a vape shop?? Not smart. They are missing out on so much money. Get with the times and be competitive. I have always liked that place and I just knew that they had the best there. But instead he acted rude and acted like to carry cbd cartridges is bad for business. Please somebody talk to these guys.

Fyi this place isnt closed. Yelp is stupid! Been going here since the 90s and a location ago. Prob one of Akron best kept secrets! Its a little difficult to find. I recommend driving past the front slow, then park in back and look for the Arsenic sign next to Alcohol Anonimous. Shop on 2nd floor. Its worth the search and honestly way better atmosphere then twisted heads or other local head shops! Thanks for the awesome piece! Came with 22 free screens too lol try them apples at another head shop I bet they lol and keep lol all the way to lolVille
