A company, like A Max music, that would let you trade in a purchase made several years ago for the latest and greatest similar product is hard to find these days.Theyre going to be trade in an upright piano my kids learned on towards the purchase of an electronic keyboard that allows you to record your work.Despite their business during the back to school season, or band parents are coming in to purchase or upgrade their childs instrument, they approach each customer cheerfully and wanting to help.It says if they are a family-run business, which I expect they must be. Theyre located on Tallmadge Ave, about a half mile West of Britain road, and I would heartily recommend going to shop there for your musical instrument needs.

This is an amazing music store. They work with you to find the best instrument or in my case instruments and accessories. Julie is awesome!!! Thank you for all your help and guidance!!! The best customer service too!!!

Unfair pricing, very disorganized, poor customer service. Walked in here planning to spend close to a thousand dollars on new equipment. My saleswomen had no idea what a synthesizer was. She misjudged me for an inexperienced musician and pointed me towards nearly insulting beginners products . She was eating a piece of pizza throughout the entire interaction. Was very disappointed, I had heard good things about this place.

Was very impressed with the store and the employees on how helpful they are on information on Acustic Guitars. I actually bought Indiana Guitar and accessories to go with. The total price was reasonable and affordable. They also carry an array of many other instruments. All you musical enthusiasts stop by and check the place out.

I have driven passed this place so many times and today felt a bit adventurous! The people here were extremely knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the customers. They engaged everyone who came in, and at no point did anyone get brushed off or rushed out! It was almost like being in a local family hangout from many years ago! You could tell there were regulars, and newcomers alike! I hope to be stopping in here again soon!

I bought a simple microphone windscreen, and that experience made A Max Music my go-to music store. The staff is friendly, and youll feel like youre shopping at a mom & pop music store.

The folks at A-Max always have the time to speak to he to get me exactly what I need. Theres a level of help and friendliness here that is hard to find anywhere nowadays. It reminds me of the indie music instrument stores Id go to when I was a kid, where the stuff is piled high and there are gems and exciting finds every time you go. Found a beautiful old snare there today, and they spent ages getting the details and price for me. Exceptionally well priced for what it was. I need to stop going near this place after payday because I just want EVERYTHING! Love this place.

Ive been going to this store for years now trust me youre better off coming to this place than guitar center theyll actually help you and what youre trying to musically accomplish well knowledgeable in all areas. but you dont have to believe me you can go to guitar center if you want 😒 but trust me these guys know their stuff.

Ive been going here since I was a child. Living down the road, I used to walk here and play on their instruments. Even then, knowing I didnt have any money and wasnt going to be buying anything.. they were always very welcoming and very helpful.They deliver what I think every major, and even other smaller local shops neglect, and thats a true customer relationship.Ive been pleased to see them expanding in recent years.. Ive yet to find an item they dont already have or cant get their hands on. Additionally their business to buisness relationships are profound. Truly impressed!This is a great music store with a fantastic selection, but I was most impressed by Julies kindness and knowledge about everything musical we spoke about, and by her honesty and willingness to help with the correction of something that happened with an instrument I purchased from another music store (I wont mention the name here). She really didnt have to be that awesome, but she figured out a creative way that made things right not only for me, but even for the other music store to maintain a positive outlook, and secured business with me for A Max Music in the future while doing this.Thats grade A class, and in the eyes of this beholder, rare, priceless, and excellent business all at the same time.The staff at A Max Music went out of their way to do the very best deal possible considering what we had to work with, and while there, everything I saw them do for other customers too was genuine. I stopped in to have a string replaced on my acoustic guitar yesterday. I expected to have to leave it there at the shop, but Julie stopped what she was doing and attempted to replace it for me. When it was discovered there was something else broken on one of my machine heads that needed repaired I was bummed as she told me Joe would have to fix it and he was gone for the day and wouldn’t be back until next week🙁As luck would have it, Joe returned unexpectedly and repaired everything right on the spot! Replaced the broken part, inspected, cleaned and tightened everything up and also restrung my entire guitar for a very reasonable price! He even serenaded me a little 🙂I look forward to returning for some lessons in the future.Customer service at A Max is at a level I believed was gone from this world! What a pleasurable experience! Julie and staff taught me so much about my guitar, and the strings should be easier for me to play bar cords. Made my week!!!Also, they are expanding into the building next door soon which will be a huge plus!Thanks Julie and Joe!!!

I bought a used bass and a used amp from them. The amp had a ton of static so I returned it. They convinced me to do an exchange instead of a return but they didnt have any bass amps in stock. They then convinced me to take a piano amp instead. They said it would work just fine with a bass. Now the amp doesnt work at all. I DO NOT recommend doing business with this store.

On the recommendation from a coworker, I gave A-Max Music a call and spoke to Julie. After discussing what was needed, we stopped in last night to get everything.Julie was incredibly helpful & accommodating with getting my son set up with a cello (& all other necessary supplies) for his school orchestra class. She even gave him some tips on caring for his cello and explained what some of the accessories were for.My expectations were exceeded, and I will gladly recommend them to all of our friends!

I usually see Julie when I stop in. They are extremely helpful and honest about their equipment. They also dont try to upsell you on warranties or other things you dont need. This is a great place to find instruments for students and professionals.If you get a chance to sit and visit with Max, take it. The guy has been around musicians for years. He is very friendly and has good advice for beginners. He could share stories for hours.

Super friendly staff, great selection of equipment, good prices. A lot of the instruments there are on the unusual side. Stuff you wont find at guitar center, which is really cool. My only complaint is that they need a bigger space. Theres so much inventory, theres hardly space to move around. So...give them your business so they can expand their space! 😃

Today was my first day ever going there for some guitar polish. At first I was shocked at how much they have there, for a little store I didnt expect all that equipment. And all the employees were extremely polite and helpful. So it turned out they were out of the Polish I needed, so the manager went into the back and grabbed the Polish they use to polish their inventory. It was practically FULL and sold it to me for $3!! Over 50% off. I am definitely satisfied and plan on going there for some of their package deals on recording equipment which were also the best prices. Loved this place.

You will not find a more honest business. I have bought from this business two violins a clarinet and a flute. They treat their customers very well.

I like this place for their used guitars and drum equipment. The staff is very friendly and down to earth. They also had the guitar strings I was looking for which is a cherry on top for me.
