I was looking for a Subaru Ascent and found that they had the type I wanted when I looked at their online inventory. About an hour later I had a deposit put down on that vehicle and had arrangements to come pick it up a couple of days later. We were turning in a lease a few months early just to make certain that the few dings that were in our car were acceptable and to try and determine the final payments. Dave worked hard to get us the most attractive deal for us. There were slim Pickens on the car lot so we did not have a lot to chose from. Dave made certain he presented every car in our price range that was available. He worked with us until everything was perfect for us. Ive been a serial Mazda owner for several cars as well as years and Mazda has always had great service. I bought a Subaru as I felt more secure in it now Im living further north and it wasnt a mistake. My first service was flawless, I went with my dog and its still during the pandemic so I was quite content to go outside and maybe walk the lot while I waited.Nope, they allowed me a comfortable seat with my pup, well away from others, gave us both water. Kept me up to the minute on what was happening to the car and included a video of the inspection. Jeremiah took care of everything from start to finish so I only had to deal with one person. He took care of explaining everything that was going to happen and also if there were any issues. Brand new car so of course there wasnt. All in all, it was probably the easiest part of the day, AND the dog enjoyed a lot of friendly quiet attention. Couldnt be better
The overall experience was very pleasant and easy. Looking for a new vehicle these days is very difficult and fortunately I found what I was looking for. We contacted Serra in Akron and they had one new 2021 Crosstrek remaining and Julie held it for us until we arrived. She worked with us for many days prior to our purchase to help us compare models and payment options. She went above and beyond her pay range, Im sure, Shes very professional and didnt talk over our heads or down to us. She understands that older folks are sometimes not as tech savy as some younger folks are so she really explained everything well. She even paired both of our phones for us and input some frequently called phone numbers so all I have to do is touch a button. She was honest on the amount of time it would take to complete financial paper work, and how long it would take to go over the gadgets of my new car. She went over every detail with the bells and whistles and even emailed asking if I had any questions. I was able to text her questions in which she responded promptly to. This is about the service department-Went in because I had 2 service lights come up at the same time (check engine, and eyesight assist turned off) I did some research before hand and a majority of the time its a loose gas cap with the remainder issues leading to a vapor test and some O-rings... Well service tried to telle the eyesight and check engine lights are two separate issues and not related to each other, I was at $700 bill and wanted 1.5hours to do a vapor test, 2 hours to test eye sight cameras and then 1 hour to reprogram it and then said they hope to find an issue that wayy extended warranty pays for it. When I started saying none of it makes sense because one when check engine lights on then something is failing so that should be warranty work. I just kept pressing the issue and then all the sudden you hear someone from behind the door (he never walks around he speaks from behind a wall) and said he did a quick vapor check and everything checked out and he reprogrammed the eye sight camera and now all check engine lights are off and Im good to go.. kind of funny how at first it was going to be 4.5 hours to do that test and to reprogram but then all of the sudden he did it quickly and everything was fixed. Seems shady and Im glad I did my research before hand .

Beware of their “out-the-door” price, it is extremely misleading. I was promised a price - and even had the keys in hand - when they sprung on me a higher price, due to a “deposit” that the salesman absolutely promised was 100% refundable when purchasing the vehicle. I can’t purchase a vehicle from a dealer I cannot trust.

No one ever came out to great me or see if I wanted to buy a car. If they did I was there to buy. If Im going to be spending in excess of $20,000 Id expect some appropriate attention. This failure caused me to leave after 25 minutes of uninterrupted brousing. Im sure other dealerships will be interested in selling me a new car. Epic fail as I could have been sold a care right then and there.
