Great experience, great car. Purchased a 2011 SRX with 56,000 miles and its in awesome shape....like new inside and out! Salesperson Kathy was great and low pressure. The car was not at the dealership, she took me to the detail shop to look at and test drive it. No way that car would have lasted 5 minutes if it got back to the dealership! My engine had noise comming from it that could not be explained. the service Maniger the head machanic and service rep all agread to replace the engine it took only a couple weeks to come to this conclusion and get a new engine and install it i was suprised it was done that fast! thank you

Great old-school family-run operation. Service scheduling is a snap. Good conversation with sales staff while car is being worked on, and lots of nice new cars to look at while the work gets done on my car. Service folks attentive with updates and always meets their promised timeline.
Our first stop to start looking for a new car was Dave Towell Cadillac in downtown Akron. My wife was very nervous about being high pressured into buying a car when our intention was only to start looking. Our worries were soon dispelled when as we were approaching the show room, we were warmly greeted by what turned out to be the man that we bought a new Cadillac from less than a hour from that moment. He was charming, considerate, thoughtful and above all informative. Not only did he answer all of our questions, he addressed our concerns.The experience was like running into an old friend that you hadnt seen for some time as we were catching up on our lives.Despite the fact that my wife and I promised each other before we went looking that we wouldnt buy a car that day, Saturday, we did.When I stopped in on Monday to sign the papers and pick up the car, past experiences of being, again, high pressured by the boss in the back room to add items to the contract. Again, the anxiety of that mental image did not take place. The manager made me feel that I was part of the family at Dave Towell Cadillac and couldnt have been more courteous and helpful to understand all of the paperwork.In the end, buying a new car from Dave Towell Cadillac in Akron was a pleasure and we would recommend them to anyone wishing to buy a new car. We are completely satisfied.

Ugh been to the service dept twice and they have been closed both times. Not if their fault, its Googles hours that are messed up and Im glad they havent been calling to gripe about picking it up like other places do though Ive been trying, they called and said it was done and thats it. Have my Saab 93 getting ECU programmed and serviced and the bill was way lower than what I expected, pleasantly surprised and Jon was a big help in the service dept.Get your Google hours looked at, said open till 5pm on Saturdays but I got there and the door says closed at 3pm, so now I have to wait to get my car back until Monday.

I worked here full time for 2 years. My family and I decided to move. I worked from home and discussed this with my employer. I was not contacted back until the 2nd attempt and almost 2 weeks later. In this contact we talked on the phone and discussed my move and how it would be in BOTH of our best interest to continue at least for a limited time. So customers were taken care of and so I had steady income. I was then told they would discuss details and call me back. I never received ANY form of communication from my employer. I went through my move. Got on my computer, logged in as normal, spoke to others in management as normal, spoke to HR gave them my new address, called customers as normal, sent emails, logged into my remote access allowing me to view my computer from the dealership as normal... I continued for 2 weeks. Then contacted HR again because I had not received pay. Then the next day I receive a email from the Towell’s stating I do not work for them and I will not be receiving pay. Yikes. I have 2 kids it’s christmas time. I turned down 5 job offers to extend my current position with the Towell’s for them to assume that I know my position with the company based on silence. The same silence they have always had as an employer. After starting to work from home TWO Weeks after having my son I did not hear from them for over a year. The only time we did talk was about me questioning why my pay was cut by 1/4 without prior written notice or detailed discussion. I have never had an issue like this previously. I have always done my job and been paid accordingly. This is poor business. I have given the Towell’s plenty of time to discuss this and they have ignored me after initially sending me “I’m sorry we’re on a different page”They are failing to see the many issues including customer security!! If I didn’t work for them anymore I should have been made aware & locked out of the system completely . This is pathetic treatment for any employee.
My fiance and I went in to test drive an Escalade at Dave Towell Cadillac. We drove it and liked it. We made what we thought to be a reasonable offer (a thousand less than they were asking) and the salesman took our offer to his manager. The manager came to us and stated there was no way he could accept such a low offer and it must just be about the money for us. We were so insulted by this remark and left.
I expected a luxury dealer to have that luxury atmosphere. The floor looked as if it has been cleaned in weeks. The showroom reeked of burnt coffee so bad I was getting ill. I was there getting service so u was sitting for 4 hours. 2 hours longer than quoted. No vending machines or even a water fountain. Landscaping was hideous. Looks like as if the cigarette butts all over had been there a long time. I would not recommend this dealer to my worst enemy. Is there a rating lower than one star. The sales staff didnt even approach me to see if I was buying?

We purchased a 2008 DTS in January of this year. We assumed it was in good working order. However, several months later we found out that both the front and rear brakes needed to be replaced as well as the struts. Also, the tires had not been rotated for so long that the uneven wear now made it necessary for two new tires. All our emails to the salesman have gone unanswered and we are now looking at several $1,000 worth of repairs for a car we have only owned for six months. Very unhappy to say the least!
I took my 2013 in for service for an electrical problem. They had the car for a month and was rarely even looked at. I took it out of there and to Dominics around the corner. Very disappointed in a dealers service!

I had purchased my CTS Sport Wagon from Ted Davis, who is great. Its a bit of a drive from Berea, but John Camps service was very much appreciated. Performed my oil and battery change in much less time than we thought it would be. Clean car when finished.I highly recommend Dave Towell Cadillac, it has been my best experience with dealing with a dealership.
I dropped my car off 15 days ago for an airbag service alert warning message. I also asked to have the driver seat serviced as it was not functioning properly. After a week, I was told that they could not reproduce the air bag code so they could not repair it and my seat track would need changed. I was told it would cost $900 but my warranty would cover everything except the $200 deductible. When I picked up the car, the beige colored seat was dirty with black mechanics grease. After I drove off I realized that the lumbar support was not functioning and had to return it promptly so that the lumbar support (which had previously been working) could be repaired. When I picked it up a second time, I noted that a couple of the tires had low air pressure, the car was not washed, fluids were not checked and my beige interior was still marked with grease even after I had mentioned it previously. The seat is repaired but now I have plastic mechanical parts visible when I utilize the seat adjustments. Regardless, my main concern over the air bag warning light was not diagnosed or repaired. I was surprised by the complete lack of customer service. If you take your car to any old mechanics shop anywhere they at least have the courtesy to check the tire pressure and fluids yet this is supposed to be a premier dealership for a luxury car!
As usual Bob Johnson solved my problem quickly. I have found Bobs judgement and ability to fix my automobiles quickly very reliable. Bob is an asset to Towell Cadillac.

DO NOT BUY USED CARS HERE! Bought a Mercedes that the salesman kept saying was The best car on the lot. It seemed great during the little test drive. Started hearing strange things though during the first week, after awhile I finally got time to take it too Mercedes to see what it was. THOUSANDS of dollars worth of repairs are needed. Theres no way they serviced this car, or they intentionally sold it knowing full well about its problems and didnt disclose any of that information to me. Either way this place is NOT to be trusted unless buying a brand new Cadillac theyve never touched.

Jeff suggested that I was due for one of the filter changes. When they went in they felt the filter was basically like new so they did not replace it. I may be a little cynical but that was much appreciated.

The parts we needed had to be ordered, which is fine. But twice the wrong parts were sent, which delayed the repair. Not necessarily the service departments fault but still terribly inconvenient.

Do not even think about going there. Extremely high prices, unreasonable repair estimates, pure rip off if you let them. Got an estimate in writing to replace engine computer for 1,586. The part number was carefully blacked out to prevent a search. Well, I found it anyway, the actual price is 200 for a rebuilt unit and 500 for a genuine original including rush mail from England. Labor is a 30 min plug-in. Youll be the judge, but Id say do not even think about going there, you WILL be ripped off. Dont believe it? Go and try. I for one will stay away from them for life.

My search began for a Cadillac sedan on AutoTrader. The closest dealership that had the car I was interested was Dave Towell Cadillac in Akron. As we approached the car lot, I was totally impressed by the entire staff that we encountered. I had been emailing and phoning the salesman, Steve, and had told him I would be stopping up in a day or two to check things out. I was alerted in an email that the car I had originally been going to look at was sold. As we got to the dealership, another salesman, Ted, was very gracious and showed us any vehicle we wanted to see. I had read reviews online and was a little concerned about what others had written, however, none of that has happened to me during the purchasing. Any questions we had, Ted was able to answer completely and honestly. The day we went to make final decision, both Steve and Ted were again so gracious and took as much time as we needed to explain all the features and we began to talk money. I ended up with leasing a 2017 Cadillac XT5! The dealership was able to offer me what I wanted for the trade and saw to it we had every discount available on the new one we purchased. There is not one negative thing I can say about this dealership, and I have purchased many cars over the years from various dealers and will say hands down, by far, this place and everyone we encountered was courteous, patient and knowledgable. Even signing the paperwork was stress free and quick! I do not anticipate any problems that can not be solved with this group!

Very poor service experience. After purchasing a 2014 Cadillac SRX, we found damage that clearly occurred prior to the sale. Boone Adams, the used-car manager, refused to even look at it. He would not even get out of his chair. Instead, the whole experience turns into a shouting match.Interestingly, I took the car to a third-party body shop and they gave me an estimate to repair the damage for $180. Seems silly to lose a customer-for-life over such a small repair.
