We were completely thrilled with the service we received from Van Devere in Akron, Ohio. Beth Thaxton worked with us and found the perfect car SUV for us. Came in with check engine light was told to get tune up ( which was not what the code was for) but they mentioned that the car did need it. I asked would this fix the engine light and was told yes. Very next day light was on, took car again this time was told timing chain, and all that goes with it ( code P0014 ) that all was replaced in February by another mechanic. So again I knew that was not correct .When I told them that work was already down I was told to take it back to other place and if they had known that the day before they would of told me then.but don’t understand why I was told and charged for a tune up..My issue is NOT with the service desk person he was great but the tech guys told me 2 different things and neither was the issue. Took someone else he said the code was clear and which sensor to fix. But Vandveer never seemed to know. Also asked to visually check air conditioner and they said couldn’t find what was wrong had to charge 115 to find a leak, again second place VISUALLY saw what was wrong and fixed. I feel your company is just guessing and it’s costing me money, if the problem was fixed I could see spending it but it never was. So sad a dealership couldn’t fix it and never expected such horrible mechanics from a Buick dealership. The issue has to be addressed they shouldn’t do this to people... the one star is because the service guy who just told me what the mechanics found was very kind

I purchased my 2018 Kia Sportage in May of 2021 and the sales experience was a serviceable, if exhausting one. This was the first auto I’ve ever purchased from a dealership and as a new parent, I wanted something reliable and with a decent warranty so I wouldn’t have to spend a lot of time under the hood. After several hours of waiting I was taken to the back room and talked into all the bells and whistles as well (Extended Warranty, Gap insurance, the works.) This was with the understanding that the “Vandevere Lifetime Warranty” only covered the drive train, and the “Extended Warranty” was much more expansive in the things it covered.Well lo and behold 3 months and less than 1000 miles later, the check engine light comes on and the vehicle loudly excalims “There’s an issue with the Engine Control System.” You’d think I wouldn’t still need an OBD2 reader on a car that runs self diagnostics but all the UVO app told me was to bring it into the dealership. I ran my own code read and it was alerting to a “Malfunctioning Intake Manifold Runner Control.” Still, I took it to Vendevere’s Service Center and was told that it was going to take several hours to diagnose the issue. I was also told that there would be a $135 diagnostic fee, but “not to worry, that will almost certainly come down to a $50 deductible since you’ve got the extended warranty!” Five hours later I get the call I was already expecting.. “Unfortunately, this part isn’t covered by your extended warranty. It’ll be $770.00 to replace the part.” Now, I’m not an ace mechanic by any stretch, but even a cursory Google search would tell you that $700 for an MRC replacement, especially on a vehicle where it’s basically sitting on top of the engine block! Is absolutely insane. I’ll be able to buy the part for less than $200 and install it myself in about 10 minutes without removing anything else from the engine. Anyone with a socket wrench could do this repair.I totally get that a dealership is going to charge more than your Average Joe garage. That’s not what has me so livid. It’s the fact that I was sold a bill of goods by a what I hoped wasn’t a sleazy company. But the way they sold me on the extended warranty was misleading under the best of circumstances. Vandevere SEEMED different but it turns out they’re just as shady as all the other dealerships. Well, I’ve learned my lesson. My first experience with a place like Vandevere will sadly also be my last. If you’ve made it this far, thank you dear reader. And I implore you to learn from my mistake. DO NOT TRUST VANDEVERE AND DO NOT GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! It’s not worth the paper it’s printed on.

This was easily my best car buying experience. The Telluride is not easy to get right now but Rob found the perfect one for me and made sure the whole process was easy! Im used to spending entire days at a dealership when buying a car but he had us in and out so quickly! The entire experience was seamless and could not have been any easier. Huge thanks to Rob!
