I don’t know how this place makes money but it’s not from working on cars. brace yourselves, folks. I made an appointment using their convenient online site. When I showed up to my appointment they were friendly and diagnosed my issue, however they said they didn’t have didn’t have time to fix it that day and I’d have to schedule an appointment. Fair enough since they didn’t know what they were getting into. I made my appointment for a week later. When I showed up they said they had to reschedule me because their mechanic called off. (They only have one?? Also, why didn’t they call me before I drove in???) I rescheduled my appointment for a week later. When I showed up this time they said they had to reschedule me again because they needed to order the part. Can you believe it?! They still hadn’t even ordered it! They rescheduled me for a week later but needless to say I didn’t bother going. What a joke. Don’t waste your time here.

Stopped by this morning to have a tire taken off of a wheel. Tire and wheel were not even on the vehicle. It would’ve taken 2 minutes to complete this task. Was told they only have one tech today and don’t have time to do it. I would not recommend anyone to this place.

There has been a series of mistakes that need addressed at the 1680 W Market St, Akron, OH branch. We had a tire shipped to the store. Somehow when Steve, the manager, went to install the new tire, he managed to pop a hole in the side wall and also break the bead on the tire. He said he would have a tire in the next day. It ended up taking 9 business days to get a replacement tire. When we finally got the tire installed, there were deep scratches on the spokes, and chipped paint all around the wheel. They also managed to lose the lug bolt caps to the wheel. I took the car back to him and he acted like he had no clue what happened when I showed them the wheel, but claims to have one on order now.My wife complained that her steering wheel was shaking on the highway after getting the tire installed, so I took it out and tested it myself and found that she was correct. I checked the torque on the lug bolts, and it seems they decided to put the wheel on the car using their impact gun. They were torqued on so tightly my impact gun could not get them off. I had to jump on my breaker bar to back the bolts off. I then had to do their job and torque them correctly to 103 ft/lbs. I then backed them off again using the breaker bar to compare to before and found that they came off with relative ease as they should with a breaker. Overtightening a lug nut or bolt is extremely dangerous as you risk breaking the bolts/studs. Both Monro and we are fortunate the wheel did not come off with my wife and baby in the car.Im never going to be a Monro customer ever again, and actively warn my friend/family about my experience. I dont appreciate the lack of care by the manager, damage to my car, and the fact my family was put in a dangerous situation.

Dont buy into their extra overpriced jobs that they will try to talk you into. If they pull out your air filter and try to talk you into a $70 job to replace it, definitely do not accept.

Very Disappointed...went for a wheel alignment....simple So I Thought..smh...manager tells me they only did the front because my back is missing a Cambridge ? Not so sure what that is..but I bought my car new in 2012 so I have no idea why I would be missing anything took off some money ...not much..but I wont be going back my car feels worse and smells like something is buring in my front tire now and has black dust on the rim...Sad its hard to find a good honest place ...smh

Steve was amazing! Made my experience seamless and made the best suggestion for new tires. I was able to tell him my situation and he instantly knew what I needed and got me in even though they were busy, I was done in only a couple hours! Car issues can be a burden but it’s nice to work with someone so helpful and who also cares!

Poor service had three appointment for tire rod and still couldnt get it right. charge you too much and dont know what theyre doing. Love the company but shop 407 and Steve needs to be replaced. They goof all to much. Steve told me he not even ase certified! Need a new certified manager!

I was on the phone with my best friend who was experiencing a bit of an emergency. A guy named Steve (who didn’t know I was on the phone the entire time), helped my best friend out despite being really busy. That was very kind of him. His good deed will bless him and continue to bring him good business. Thank you, Steve.

Steve is definitely a Saint. I was have an issue with my car that was a real quick fix but nonetheless I did not have a lot of time to spare and I was in a real pickle. Steve heard my issue said let me service my current customer and I will be with you in just a few. He came back did not try to milk or take advantage of the situation solve my problem and I was back on the road with in 15mins top. Thank you Steve. I was not a customer that day but I definitely will be in the near future. I recommend Steve to any women who needs car work done because he will not take advantage. Stand up guy in my book.

Blown away by the service. I dealt with Steve after calling other local places who seemed put out by my call, Steve was nothing but accommodating and helpful. He answered all my questions over the phone, was able to get me in within minutes, and once my tire was inspected ran through the options with me. I will absolutely return here for all my vehicle needs.

I called at 12:30pm today to ask if they had room for a brake change and they made room for me, all on a Sunday! When I arrived at 4pm, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Walked me through what services I needed and applied discounts from their website. Such a great experience and I will return for any and all future work on my vehicle! Thank you Monro team!

The service was great on the emergency tire repair I needed today.

Well I went in and had two bald tires and so I was buying two new tires. So I explained youre going to need to move the front left tire to the back right and put the new tires in front. The Manager Steve confirmed with me he knew what I was saying and agreed they should leave me with the 4 best out of the 6 so the bald ones shouldnt make the cut. I also needed a lugnut that I waited on for almost an hour. At this point Ive been there about 2 hours for a 45minute job which is what they quoted me. To get my car back and my one bald tire that was supposed to get swapped out didnt. So I bought two new tires to replace one bald and one like new tire. What sense does that make. So I would recommend going somewhere where they know what they are doing. Leaving a bald tire on a car is unacceptable! Not to mention the winter storm warning thats currently in place and my need to drive an hour to work and an hour home with a bald tire that was supposed to get fixed. Putting myself and loved ones that ride in my car at risk is never acceptable in a business.

Went for Oil change told it would be a half hour called me one and a half hour later.When I got back my passenger side front window was down which I didnt know why.Explanation was given and I explained that the window was broken and they could at least have told me and helped me get it back up Nothing was done.Adding to this if I had been been a white lady I sure it would have been different. It was not a good day

I was told the oil change was going to be $19.99 and then when I paid for it it was $37. So Im not very happy about that. plus the day before I was supposed to have my oil change I went in at the time I was supposed to have it and they said they couldnt do it period so I had to reschedule for the next day which I was extremely busy that day but went in anyway. Make sure you do your research before you actually think youre paying $19.99 because you wont be even if its advertised

Mathew had a great attitude. Got me in and out. However. I was told it was 350. To get all brakes done. After leaving i still heard a sqeak. I called in and another man answered and said only half brakes were done. I told him exactly what was told to me. 350$ for whole package. Of course he did what they all do and restort to the oh u must of misunderstood how? I dont misunderstanding anything when i have to pay with my money. He told me to come back and pay 150 for front. Wow. No way. DO NOT GO HERE.

I came home from work and hit the bad spot on a trench plate and completely blew out my tire, luckily I was right down the road from Monro. I hobbled my car into their parking lot and they were extremely helpful with my tire replacement. Throughout this whole process I had additional errands to run so my 15 minute trip turned into a 2 hour adventure. When I returned to Monros the man who helped me (I believe his name is Mike) changed my tire at no charge. This shop has as the most genuine mechanics I have ever come across. Great Guys! Great Shop! I will definitely be returning soon.

Was in earlier in the week with my wifes car. First off, they were extremely busy but still found a way to work us in. The mechanic on duty, Martin, was non-stop. Car to car. His energy level was incredible. The manager was polite, funny, and truly showed that he WANTED my business. I know most people only post their opinion when its a negative experience. But I was impressed. Wow. What a positive experience! Definitely my go-to shop for EVERYTHING!

I was very happy that they could get me in after work. I stopped at another Monroe first that was very rude, because they do not like to start on a car after a certain time. My service ended up being terrible though. My tires were not rotated, even though it says free rotation. The reason I know this is because I knew how much air was in each tire. I can checked right on the dash board. My back tire was low and still was low when they finished. What is so odd is that even though my tires were not rotated the bolts were unscrewed on my tires. I guess they did this to make it look like they rotated my tires. When I pulled off my car felt weird and I heard a strange noise. I turned around and the manager checked my tires and the bolts were loose of my front tire. They had not been screwed back on. The manager went to look for the guy who did my car and he was already gone for the day. The manager was very upset, and said it was unacceptable. I was shocked that he did not offer a discount or free service next time. He could have offered something.

Stopped in to see if I could get a quick oil change. The place was a little chaotic, there was some construction going on in the garage. The manager seemed very calm and cool and asked me if I could hang out just a few minutes until there was a free bay. Got me in and out amid the chaos. Very thankful and will spread the word about how well I was treated here.

Had an appointment this morning that didnt get put in the system but was seen anyway to get 2 tires mounted and an oil change. Was in and out in an hour. Price was good for the work done. Enjoyed getting to meet Dominic.

Great service today. I called yesterday for an oil change and was able to get in this morning. We greeted very friendly and have to say it was the quickest oil change that I ever recieved. I asked a few questions about my vehicle and both Brian and Matt assured me that all was normal. All this and the fact that they are near by makes it all the better. I will be retuning for more services.

I stopped in with a spare tire that needed a new valve stem. They asked if i would drop off the tire at one of the bays and the staff fixed the tire right then . Excellent service! Very appreciative of of their time! Highly recommended!

The work and communication got done and I appreciate it the quality of the product and work put into it. But my only concern was I got that typical lady/girl treatment. The one where you go in to get one thing fixed and then the long drawn out experience of whats going to COST THE LADY MORE MONEY TO FIX. I have had this treatment many times before and it gets old. I had a horrible experience at another shop, I was given prices for parts that I didn’t even need I called around to multiple different shops to get advice and Mike was one that I spoke to and he advised me to come so he could take a look at my car. I showed up while they they were very busy and yet pulled my car right in and took me outside and showed me exactly what was wrong, he give me a great price and haven’t had any further issues with my car. I felt valued as a customer and not just a dollar sign ! Mike was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience and when I needed it without breaking my bank . I will definitely be recommending the shop to my friends and family !

My feeling is that if a business does a great job at taking care of a customer, you don’t need to ask for 5’s on a survey and you definitely wouldn’t need to be tacky and have a paper on every chair in the waiting area informing customers to give you all 5s either. I took a chance coming back to place after my last craptastic experience only to wait and wait and wait to be told they can’t turn rotors. When I tried to leave (their parking lot is set up for one way traffic) one of their employees has their big white truck blocking the way out. I think I’m done giving chances on this place. Last time their insurance company has to step in for damages they caused...

I have trust and confidence in Monro Muffler! Both times that I’ve had to get my car worked on, they never made me question if I was getting overpriced for a service I didn’t need. They provided the best customer service and I will definitely be spreading the word to come to this establishment! They made my car a priority and got it up and running like new!

Have to rewrite my review since this place tried to scam us out of almost $1400. Said a catalytic converter needed to be replaced and there is nothing wrong with it and they wanted to charge over $600 for the back part of the exhaust system. We took it to another shop, very reputable, and they said converter is fine and are charging $300 for the exhaust.

Matt was the employee who serviced me and he literally made my day. Not only did he save me money, but was honest and knowledgeable regarding my vehicle. I will most definitely come back for tires!! Thanks Matt!!

I’m a new driver and don’t know too much about cars. The people at this location helped me understand why my car needed a specific kind of oil, and how the “maintenance required” works. Great experience.

Its a holiday and I wasnt even expecting to go to a Monroe. I was shopping in the area and my tire low light came on. I pulled up and a guy met me in the parking lot to greet me. I told him what was going on and he offered to check my air pressure. Found one tire was low and he could hear the little stem hissing. He had a tool in his pocket that tightened the valve and he aired me up. Away I went! It took 2 minutes! Very impressive Monroe! If I ever need anything for my car and Im in the Wallhaven area, I know where Im going! Talk about quality service and caring about little old me!!! Thanks guys.

I am from out of town and my car started making a funny noise. My brother recommend this Munro and these guys were very helpful and friendly. They did not take advantage of my situation and I highly recommend them.

I called and explained what was happening and the gentleman on the phone told me to come in right away because a problem with breaks was a safety concern. Everyone I talked to was super nice and helpful and they worked as fast as possible to get me in an out with new and safe brakes. The new owner really takes pride in his business and building it back up after the previous owner. I trust these guys and even though my father can fix most of my car problems I know where to go now if he is ever unavailable again!

Mike and the rest of the guys at Monroe West Market are trustworthy and do great work. They absolutely do not handle unnecessary repairs, and attempt to keep costs down. I came across this shop by chance, and am glad I did!

Dependable mechanics around Akron are hard to come by in my experience. As an independent college student, I found that the people at Monro, especially this Monro, go above and beyond for their customers in so many ways. Ive been using this shop for more than three years and have made this my go-to auto-repair shop.These guys extended the life of the beaters I drove in college. Without the mechanics at Monro, I would not have been able to make it to class, my jobs, or internships around the area. I credit this Monro store for having kept my college-beater running, and without that I dont know where I would be.Now graduated and gainfully employed, I still continue to use this shop for their expertise, honesty, and dedication to the customers. They have earned my business for life, and I cannot sing their praises enough.

A flat tire can quickly ruin anyones day so after a bad experience from a rude Sams club tire tech I was stressed & almost in tears. Luckily once at Monroe I was greeted by the friendly and knowledgable Monroe staff & they even had my tire size (Sams club didnt). They were quick to get me back on the road & although they brought a couple issues to my attention they didnt try to pressure me into the additional costs. Im pleased with the service all around. Thanks to the staff at Monroe!

Small, but friendly. Service was good, even when the power was disrupted the guys moved on thru it. The manager on duty, Robert, was quick to action to take care of things, and kept things moving along. I recommend these guys for their fast and friendly service.

Waited over 2.5 hours for a simple oil change. Despite having a 930AM appointment, car was not completed until 12pm! Had to cancel several morning meetings to wait as my car was sitting in the shop and I could not leave. Very inconvenient and inefficient. Management said staff was short because of family emergency, which is understandable, but my biggest complaint is lack of honesty and respect for my time. I was told that they could not change my oil until 10am instead of original 930am appointment. I was willing to wait but then I just kept waiting and waiting and waiting. Very unprofessional. Had they been more upfront about the lack of staff from the get go and more realistic about the time they would be available to change my oil, I would have been able to leave and come back later or make plans accordingly. However, I felt I was held hostage and not given accurate estimates of wait time. Whats more, as I waited, the staff continued to ask if I wanted additional services even though I declined multiple times. I will NOT be returning here again. Customer be warned!!

I stopped at the place at the mall after work around 6 and was turned away due to being over booked with just one car in their shop. So I ran across the street to see if the Munroe across the way on Ghent had anything available for my car as I have a trip coming up and needed tires with limited time to get them done.Sean over their looked in the computer and he had nothing but went the extra mile to see if the Wallhaven location had any. He made the call to see if I could get in immediately and just like that I was on my way to get them installed.I pull into the Wallhaven shop and I am barely out of my car and the tech greeted me for the key, pulled it into the shop and began breaking down the wheels before I had made my tire selection. Thats right! I had choices! The tires were in in record time and I was out the door for a substantial savings in time, a great price, and UNRIVALED CUSTOMER SERVICE.The big name at the mall has failed me more than once and now I see no reason to go back there for tires again!Go there! Dont question yourself! Feel confident that you will walk out feeling like you were treated well and not another statistic/metric.

I have been going to monro for years and have never had any problems. The prices are always reasonable. I will never go any where else for my car.

Thanks to Mike, I don’t have to worry about the alerts coming on in my car. He takes the time to research the problem, he explains to you what’s wrong with your car, and he is always giving a good deal! Everyone at this Monro has been really helpful and nice. I will definitely continue to come here for maintenace on my car.

I used to like and trust Monro auto service and there used to be a very honest guy who ran the Akron store but on this service visit I felt they didnt fully inspect the car like they claimed they did... They tried to sell me a service I really didnt need -- e.g., they said I needed brakes soon even though they were the ones who replaced my brakes last year and my car is hardly driven because Im out of town over a 1/3 of the year. ... Also, they said they checked the tires and filled them with air but my low tire pressure light was on when I turned the car on. .. I went it back in, told them, then one of the mechanics went around and filled the tires with air and told me they were 10 lbs below in pressure!!! I told the manager I would not return!

Never had a problem with the actual service they performed (oil change, tire rotation, etc. Nothing major) but they cant stick to an appointment time at all. Id make an appointment to get my oil changed at 8:30 and my car wouldnt be done until early afternoon. An oil change, especially with an appointment), shouldnt take more than an hour or two. Why make an appointment at all if youre not going to get the car in for 4+ hours?

I blew a piston in my rear brake caliper. My brakes were bad already but the noise this created when I applied my brake was horrifying. Not only did they take me as a walk-in when they were already heavily scheduled (as brakes are a safety concern) the manager (Mike, I believe was his name) was kind enough to allow me to split my payment over two days as I waited for a check to clear in order to pay the whole balance. The crew and management here are dedicated and good at what they do. I fully intend to make this place my go-to for my car repair/safety needs and you should too!

I pulled up to the shop just before 8am this morning to see if they could fix my brakes this morning. There was a mechanic working on a car and another associate seated in the garage on the phone. Nobody greeted me, even to say it would be a few minutes. I stood for over 5 minutes without acknowledgement. The mechanic looked my direction several times and knew I was there. I finally walked out, walked past the open bays with garage doors open. Nobody cared. I will not be back. Instead I tried a local garage and they had me in and out in no time!

This place is full of sweet-talking swindlers. One of their mechanics asked my girlfriend if shed be willing to pay in advance for some of the work to help them with a weekend contest and make payroll for their team (in her good nature, she agreed). Then, with no incentive to actually do the work, they didnt service the car for over a week. The brakes, a speciality advertised IN THEIR NAME, were not actually fixed.Dont let their great location or chatty mechanics tempt you — your car will not get properly serviced.

Ive been coming here for years because theyre trustworthy and prices are great. They will accomodate you if theres any way possible and theyve always been friendly and, above all, fair. Ive kept coming in even after moving from the area.

Unfortunately, I will not be going back after waiting an hour for an appointment scheduled oil change and them not doing it in the end. I guess they didnt want to be liable for the bolt that they couldnt get off. I would of probably gone back if they had atleast done the oil change.

They came to our house to jump the car that was parked in our garage, couldn’t have been nicer. So of course we immediately drove the car to them so they could check and replace the battery. Excellent service, highly recommended.

The staff are always courteous & professional. They will also try to help lower your cost. The wait time is also never long.

Beware of deceptive pricing in store, check online first. —->. I visited their website to check prices for new tires. When I went to the store they wanted to charge me almost $100 more then what I found online. Good thing I printed off the online quote and brought it in. They were able to work with me and bring down the price.

Took my truck in for a simple brake job, continuously delayed time after time by staff. Was guaranteed multiple times that vehicle would be done only to be delayed again. Job took over two weeks for just brake lines and a master cylinder, still being delayed.

The manager Ken was professional. I Had my brakes replaced and they seem to work fine. Price was exactly what I was originally quoted and they didnt push for unneeded repairs.Close to my house so Ill go again.

Ok this is probably a long story but, I had run flat tires on my 2014 Cadillac CTS and I already had trouble with 2 of the tires and a 3rd was giving me trouble it was 630pm and the tire was low I called the dealership they could even look at my tire until Monday I had to work on Saturday so we decided to go to the Circle K and get some air in the tire that made it worse o I saw Monro across the street went over there Brian said he could take tire off and try to plug it. The tire was no good bottom like is Brian and his staff went out their way to accomadate my husband and I he found a tire put it on my car at no charge. I would have had to have car towed to dealer and probably call off without their KINDNESS. THANKS BRIAN AND STAFF 1680 WEST MARKET RIGHT BY SWENSONS
