Very pleased with Akron Auto Clinic. We had an unusual request. Upon driving to Ohio from Florida, we unfortunately hit a rather large raccoon... yes we cried...which tore the entire under panel from underneath our car. Using zip ties they were able to mount it back strongly enough so that we could drive safely back to Florida. They only charged us $50. We are grateful. Thank you Akron Auto Clinic.

The staff is very nice, however, they clearly try to take advantage of those who seem to not know about cars. They tried to charge a friend $400 to change wheel bearings, WITHOUT including the cost of the wheel bearing itself, tax or insurance. On top of that, they said there might be a few extra fees for things that are not even related. I own a car repair shop, and I charge $50 AT MOST for that simple job. They said the job takes from 4 to 6 hours. I am able to disassemble and reassemble the entire thing in 45 minutes, AT MOST. Don’t let them shaft you.

I always fix my own vehicles Because I don’t trust most shops, but this time i knew it was beyond my ability. I have heard on the radio and seen the reviews of Akron auto clinic and I took my wife’s van there to be looked at for a cooling fan not working and her van overheated. I told them what I replaced myself and they appreciated my information to help them find the problem faster. Since my wife had overheated the van they advised me that they would like to check the head gasket just to make sure that there was no damage before they fixed anything else and they were honest they called me in a few days letting me know that they found a couple bad connectors and wires they kept me updated every day if anything new popped up and let me know how much it was going to be so there was no surprise I got my car back in a week I am very happy with the work and they seem like very honest people will be using them again.

I had a loud knocking noise on my 15 yr old Pontiac and thought that’s it for the car they did an awesome job very thorough and honest and looked over car for whatever else needed done on the future. They gave me a loaner car as it was a tie rod brakes and stabilizer links and was a big job and it sounds and drives like brand new I finally found a place to bring my car as I dealt with years of places way overcharging and not even fixed correctly at other places highly recommend them thank you so much Akron auto clinic I really appreciate it

We were traveling to Virginia when we started having trouble starting our car. We Google car repair in Akron and will be forever grateful that Akron Auto Clinic comes up first. We called and Jason assured us he would look at our car. When we arrived, our car was diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours! And at a very reasonable price. While we waited, John offered us pizza or to take us to a restaurant to get some food. This is a great family business that i wish i could give 10 stars!

Took my car there because there was coolant leaking from my engine they told me the engine was blown so I sold it to them for scrap. Well they actually sold my car to one of the mechanic who works there and has my car running little did they know he lives down the road from me so now I see my old car that had a “blown engine” parked in his drive way they lie an are immoral I’ve done thousands of dollars of business there and I will never go back. I even called the shop to ask them what they did with my car and the guy on the phone got all defensive like they knew they did something wrong. Now that I’m thinking about it more I lm sure I a fee for them to tow it to the “scrap yard” that it never got towed too...

They are very honest and go through everything that is wrong with your car. I would refer them anyway to anyone. I also like the feature of having a loaner car if needed.

They never let me down! Honest, personal care for your car and they give you a free loaner!

My brake line burst on my way off the freeway into downtown Akron on our way to view homes for purchase. It was after 2 and we were supposed to meet the realtor at 3. After a quick roadside check I knew there was no way I could baby it home (over an hour away). A quick google search led me to the nearest shop. The guys at Akron Auto Clinic were closing up shop soon ( it was a Saturday) and told me there was no way they could get to it. I dont have AAA or anyone willing to come get us in Akron. I was shocked when they told me I could use a free loaner car to get back home and the car would be repaired first thing Monday. The whole event took under an hour and we met our realtor only a few minutes late. We saw seven homes that day including the one we plan to purchase. I gratefully drove the brightest yellow vinyl wrapped loaner car I had ever seen for the weekend and true to their word, the car was fixed by the time I got off work Monday. Replacing brake lines on a 98 Blazer is not a fun or easy job but the team at Akron Auto Clinic got the job done and got me out of a big mess. I would recommend them to anyone and once we get moved I wont take my vehicles anywhere else for service.

My son traveled to Akron University from Eastern Indiana. He hit a slick spot and hit a guardrail. Thankfully no one was hurt. However there was some significant damage to the front driver side corner. All I could see were pictures, but couldnt tell if it was drivable back to Indiana. Thank Goodness I found Akron Auto Clinic and on the first call. I explained my need for someone qualified to look at this car and assure me it was mechanically safe to operate. Jon and the Staff there completely understood and jumped in there to help my son. And this was on a Saturday and with no notice. I went in for brakes. My car is lowered so I frequently need to pay more, but I think I got a fair price. There was zero pressure. Very polite. And it was fantastic that they had a loaner car so that I wasnt stuck at home or taking an uber. Even though I had no appointment and it was the weekend, they got it done same day.

My vehicle isn’t even fixed yet and I’m already very displeased with this company. At first they told me I needed a new key in order for them to diagnosis my issue. So I tell them to order the key and their reply is that my key would be there the next day. The next day comes and I don’t hear anything from them so I decided to call. Now they tell me that the key company can’t come until the following day. So I call a different company and have them go out instead. Now that the key is made I’m expecting my car to be diagnosed by the next morning like they told me it would be before I left the establishment and guess what... they still haven’t even touched my truck. Won’t be coming back after this🙅🏾‍♀️

I used to work at Akron Auto Clinic for over 15 years as a Technician. I can tell you that the owners are very honest and fair and work hard to assure that the customers complaints are addressed. I enjoyed my time working there and all the great customers that came into the shop for repairs. The prices are extremely reasonable and fair. Knowing what goes on in the back ground I can honestly say that you will be treated fairly and professionally and your vehicle will be diagnosed with utmost accuracy and the correct repairs will be made at the most reasonable prices.

Moral of the story is.. I brung my car in for a free diagnosis and tried to explain to them what else happens that’s part of the same problem and they tried to make me pay for another diagnosis. They said my car would be ready the same day and I didn’t get it back untill 4 days after. They said they couldnt find the problem but they found something that “they could fix” which I thought was useless and just a way to get my money. And my car still isn’t fixed. It still has the same problems that it had before I took it to them the first time but worse.

Being new to the Akron area, I didnt have a mechanic. I went based off reviews and picked this little auto center. Boy did I find a good one!-They have a shuttle service for picking up and dropping you off while they work on your car if it is expected to be a little while.-They called me occasionally giving me an update on how the work was going and when they were expecting the repairs to be done.-When my car threw them for a loop and ended up costing probably $125 more on the new part than expected, the final cost was still way lower(only maybe $40 more than originally quoted) than I expected because they want to keep you happy.-Car wash and the floor mats cleaned... Probably saved me about $10 on that since my car was dirty after this winters salty roads-Friendly family business-They offer discounts for many things and have coupons as well. They gave me 10% off for being in the military.Bottom line is Id recommend this place to anyone and everyone. If you try them out, youll never want to go to anyone else.

My daughter Becky was having problems with her 2007 Chrysler Aspen! She took it to Fred Martin! They claimed they fixed it and they did not! Would not recommend them at ALL! We took it to another place, a waste of time! She saw Rave Reviews for Akron Auto Clinic! They were amazing, to Say The Least! They repaired her car in two days! Explained exactly what was wrong! Told her about other items that needed done at a later date with paperwork explanation! The car was cleaned inside and out! It looked like it came out of Show Room! Bravo! Highly Recommend!

Took my Explorer in for a brake inspection, 20 min later they pulled my car around no charge. Honest service, nothing was wrong and they didnt try to sell me anything. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and even a courtesy shuttle. Definitely going back when I need them. Highly recommend.

Great service. They are priced well and will go above and beyond to take care of you. They offer free loaner cars which is awesome. They inspected my car and let me know what was wrong with it and worked with me to find the most affordable option to repair, I drive a European vehicle so it is not always easy/cheap to repair. 3 hours later my problem is fixed. This is one of the best mechanics Ive been to, everyone is friendly and they are incredibly thorough!! Dont hesitate to bring your car here, these guys know what they are doing.

These guys are the best, can even give you a hide home in many cases. Sometimes you just need to junk it, these guys will tell you. Honest about Costs don’t try to sell you thinks you don’t need. Fair prices on labor if takes 2 hrs doesn’t bill you for three like some shops. Doesn’t over charge you on parts, they don’t try the 50% to 200% mark up on parts thing I’ve had shops do. I highly recommend them for all your vehicle needs. LOL I have no vested interest in the company.

EDIT: I appreciate the owners response. I do need new tires and those run about $800-900 for this car so, taking that off the total, the estimate was 3K for the struts and shocks. This issue of replacement seems to be one of opinion. My last mechanic only works with Mercedes and doesnt replace them for this model unless there are clear signs that theyre faulty (visible leaking, bumpy ride, etc). My last ML350 was 10 years old when I sold it, and it never needed the struts or shocks done, either. Reading on the subject seems to come to the same conclusion: some mechanics like to do it when a car gets up in miles, others only when issues arise.When I was given the estimate, it was communicated to me as something that needed doing, not a recommendation based on mileage or age of the vehicle. I was told struts and shocks need to be replaced, and I can get the parts in for next week, which to me indicated it was a current concern, not something to consider for the future.I do appreciate the owners professional and polite response but will not be returning to their business.I cannot recommend this place.I just moved to the area and my car needed a regular service. Chose this place based on the good reviews. Took it in and waited almost 2 hours in a super uncomfortable waiting room. I was told it needed new shocks, struts, and tires, which would cost almost 4K. Now, I bought this car less than a year ago and it has an impeccable service record, and it passed my old mechanics pre buy inspection so I was instantly suspicious. I decided to call my old mechanic and ran their suggestions by him. He stated that there were no signs of issues with the shocks and asked me how its been driving. Still smooth. He also stated that he has never replaced struts or shocks for this model of Mercedes (2010 ML350) and hes been servicing German cars for 20 years.I dont know whether the people at Akron Auto just dont know Mercedes, or made a mistake here. Either way, they recommended almost 4K of work that does not need to be done. They also didnt reset my computer so Im still getting the automated service reminder every time I turn on the car.My recommendation is to stay away.

This place is amazing and the guys are great. I took my car in Friday to get a wheel bearing replaced. While my car was being looked at they found my break lines werent done right so they fixed them as well as the wheel bearing. It took awhile and they asked plenty of times if I wanted a ride home or if I wanted a rental car that they have so I didnt have to wait. I would definitely be bringing my car back here and Ive already told friends that they need to come here. Thank you everyone that helped me at Akron Auto Clinic.

The experience I had at Akron Auto Clinic were far above than I expected. I came here after reading the other great reviews and I am glad that I did. The personal here are great and willing to answer any questions that you have. I usually do all of my car work by myself but this time I needed someone with more experience. They were able to get my car in and out within a timely fashion and even dropped me off at my house while they worked on my vehicle. I will highly suggest the Akron Auto Clinic for your car needs!They even washed my car when they were done! They also accept AAA cards for an even better experience.

Despite issues with my vehicles rear brake cylinders, the Clinic agreed to replace the brake lines without forcing the cylinders on the repair. This proved to be tricky, but they still completed the job at the quoted price. As a result, it is now drivable (because my front brakes are fairly new.) They also repaired my fuel line and exhaust for a fair price, while giving me a free loaner. They do finance if you have ok-good credit. Consider this shop when you go in for your next repair because the customer service exceeds expectations!

Its a Jeep thing is sometimes super annoying to hear, but owning a Wrangler its something that Ive come to understand. What it really means is that; people who own Wranglers sometimes turn them into boats, or billy goats, or pigs rolling in the mud You are going to run into issues. Most of the time I can fix those issues. This one I couldnt. All hope was not lost though, I called the wonderful guys over at Akron Auto Clinic and they were able and willing to help me out without pause. Fred and his team over at Akron Auto Clinic were fantastic and I would strongly recommend them to anyone. They handled my electrical problems promptly and professionally and explained everything along the way. 10/5 stars would 100% use them again.Also, let Fred know that when I took the alternator back to they said it tested fine and where going to re-package it and sell it to someone else...

Asked for a simple quote over the phone to tell me what it would cost for two specific repairs on my car. Every other well-rated shop in a 20 mile radius would give this to me without issue. They require the car to be at the shop on a lift. I do understand wanting to see the job before quoting, but it seems a bit unreasonable when the diagram of my car can be quickly found on Google and it would cost me an extra tow if I were to find out their price is considerably above others in the area.

I moved to Akron 4 years ago and have had a lot of car trouble (mostly for owning a car with 200k+ miles.) Navigating through different auto shops can be difficult especially in Akron. I have been helped out by Akron Auto Clinic on multiple occasions and always have received friendly and affordable service. Jason especially has been a great help and I have had no issues with them fixing all the problems with my vehicle.

Very helpful, informative, and timely. I have taken my SUV in several times and have had zero complaints. Their loner cars are very convenient when i cant get a ride from a friend.
