I am NEVER disappointed with V&F. They extensively inspect the car for any issues and give you a complete run down of the results. When my check engine light was flashing and my car was shaking violently, V&F gave me hope. They were prompt and friendly in their help, and worked with my budget and the urgency of the situation (even though they were booked to the brim that week). I was also blown away by the level of education that they offered post-diagnosis over the phone and via email. They also have an knowledge-based section on their website that gives you a general overview as to what may be happening with your car, and the level of urgency. I appreciated their convenient location and paying a little extra for that convenience was worth while in my situation. Not to mention, if you have AAA they offer a 10% discount on labor of over an hour. I’m seeing them for my mechanical needs from here on out!

Dropped my car off for a squeaking noise from my brakes and they had it diagnosed and repaired by the end of the day. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, professional and thorough. They explained their findings and provided me with photos to support the recommendations - all at a significant savings versus going to a dealership. I had a great experience with V&F! They inspected my entire car to make sure everything was up to par. They emailed me a detailed report and photos of different parts of my car that were either in good shape or needed some attention. The report had brief explanations of why you need to keep up with each part or what color your fluids are vs what they should look like. They were very accommodating with transportation while they were working on my car. The office felt like I was walking in to someones home, it looked so nice, unlike most car places!

I will never come here again. These people tried scamming me from my money. I came here for an inspection and they told me that I failed for a few reasons which is fine. I then went to my friend to fix the parts of the car that needed to be looked at. After fixing all the problems with the car I proceeded to come in again for a re-inspection and they still told me that the front end play had an issue. I then went to two different car repair places that looked at the car and said that the front end play was fine. The messed up part is that one of the mechanics at the other place told me that they were failing me for the wrong reasons. My front end play was fine but my front headlight was messed up and my rear taillight wasn’t installed correctly. After hearing this I was very upset. I wasted my time coming here. I would definitely get a second opinion at a different car repair shop before coming here.

I recently purchased my first car here. I absolutely love the car and the service/care I received throughout the whole process. I wanted to get things moving fairly quickly, and Jim at V&F was very accommodating. The whole process was efficient and straight-forward. 2015 Toyota Camry was in great condition with only 35,000 miles on it. Jim was a great help. They also throw in a full-year of oil changes at their auto service shop across from the dealership for free (4 oil changes total). Such a great experience, would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone that wants to skip the fills and get into a great new-to-you car.

I would recommend V&F auto to everyone. Incredibly friendly service and you can tell it’s sincere. I had my Harley in there for a couple fixes and adjustments and they kept me in the loop with check in calls about what was being done and the cost along the way. Halfway through the process I saw them cleaning my air filter which was never asked but I couldn’t of been more appreciative knowing they wanted to take care of my bike. They made me aware that they don’t specialize in bikes the way they do in cars (mainly doing large scale custom work it seemed) but they will for sure be who I go to first when work needs to be done or assessed on my bike and they definitely deserve any future work needed on my truck as well.

I recently broke one of my brake lines. As a AAA member, V&F Auto, was recommended as an excellent repair shop. My vehicle was repaired and was also given a bumper to bumper inspection, and other issues brought to my attention. Most importantly, the repairs were guarantee. The staff was friendley and courteous. I will return and recommend V&F Auto to friends and family.

V&F is AAA approved and as I began to read many of the reviews I decided it was time to try them out. I was amazed at the customer service, from the time I dropped the car off to the time I got it back. You get an email with pictures and write up of problems, which I think is extremely helpful. Car was completed as promised at end of day. Work seemed thorough and most importantly they actually treat you like a human being. None of us like paying for car repairs which are expensive, but there is no way around it. However, treat your customers with a little respect and you will get repeat customer. I will definitely use them for future repairs.

This post is long over due for two reasons,first; after our most recent visit with my wifes car I did not have the opportunity to drive it on the highway for a significant period of time.Second; I really did not want to have to post this.Not sure what happened but I am very displeased with my most recent service. I brought my wifes car in for a flat due to nails picked up on the road, passenger side front. I also asked them to look at the from drivers side as it started to slowly leak.They replaced the tire with the nails but could not find anything with the drivers side from tire. They did however find damage to one of the rear tires that was repairable.Fast-forward, we had to drive to southern CT and as I hit the highway noticed a significant pull to the left and a shake in the front end. We stopped at a tire place and they had to add air to the front drivers side tire, a thing I had to do and why I asked V&F to look at that tire. The guy at the tire place said it need an alignment.Back on the highway the shake and pull were not as bad but still there.So, I have a car with a front tire that is still bad and now I am told it needed an alignment.I bought 4 new tires from V&F a while back and I just assumed that when they replaced all four an alignment was done and thought that when they replaced the from tire most recently would have at the very least asked, if not straight up done, an alignment.I am used to much better service from them, now not so much and contrary to my post from two years ago, no longer comfortable leaving my vehicle with them.Post from 2 years ago:Blown away by the outstanding service and professionalism. Felt very comfortable leaving my Jeep in their care.

Made a motorcycle appointment online on Sunday for Monday morning at 9:00am and they happily took the motorcycle and had it all set on Tuesday and did just what I asked them to! Very nice staff! Will definitely use again!

First time they charge me for special bolts by promising it will work I paid 270.26 and alignment was not done they said change strut and come we will do it for free I came and they charge me again 122.12$ Asked to check transmission oil level they checked engine oil level .please check on phone calls. I own three vehicles that I have taken there for many years. Fustrated the last 3 years with v and f Ive only taken one but that will be coming to a stop. No more!!! They are a good service place but way over priced. The repair parts are 2 to 3 times over retail. Give me a break $43 for a $14 dipstick, $142 for a outer tie rod that you can get for way under $70. I also had work done on it all day. It needed this work done so I can can get a state inspection sticker. They charged me for the inspection and never did it. Bye bye bye. Its too bad.

It is not a great day at V&F Auto. I am very disappointed in the service we received at V&F today. I bought my car from them 4 months ago, which was a great experience. After having inspection completed and fixing a break issue just a month after purchasing it, which was addressed with no problem, we decided to remain loyal to V&F to have an apparent exhaust leak fixed. The service writer we dealt with seems to know very little about what is actually happening in the shop and was not able to give us a straight answer as to what was going on with my car after it had been there nearly 24 hours. After several phone calls and Its exactly what we thought it was... but we wont know until its torn apart we were given a quote. We all know we pay for this service with crazy labor costs and markups on parts, and for some its worth it when we dont have time in our day or the ability to do the jobs ourselves, but when youre already paying $850 for your new car to be fixed, it feels a bit wrong to be charged an additional $151 for a $50 part. When I questioned this at pick up I was addressed by the owner who was unwilling to understand what I was trying to get across. Albeit I was a bit heated since I thought this had been addressed when they called my husband to let us know the car was done, under no circumstance should an owner of a company argue and make a woman feel as though she has no idea what shes talking about.After I apologized for expressing my frustrations, and stated Im sorry Ive had a long day he replied with a smug smirk I can tell. The disrespect was unbelievable. He was unreasonable and has lost this hopeful customer - not because of the outrageous mark up on the part but because of the way I was treated while there. I was really hoping to have found a local shop I could trust but V&F Auto has proven to me that they are as crooked as the next guy.Update 10/24 - Thank you Nicole for thaking the time to contact me. I appreciate your customer service and your offers. Everyone is allowed a bad day and I will chalk this experience to just that. V&F is a used car dealer, an auto parts store and an autorepair facility. Although none of the services offered are exceptional, it is a one-stop shop for anything auto. Prices are also reasonable, though not exceptional. I will say that the customer service is exceptional, always offering a pleasant smile and cordial greeting whether over the phone or in person. Knowledge staff will make for a good car related experience.

They were awesome AND RELIABLE....Louis and Scott are exceptional when it comes to customer service. They were very respectful and made me feel worry free. The repair was done the next day and the car was ready to go. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Have always experienced timely service, even taking the time to see if there is anything that may need additional work & taking the time to explain so you know what you are getting. My husband and I had shopped around for cars for a few weeks. We even searched out of state for a particular year, make and model . I have health challenges and didnt have the stamina to spend a long time standing and negotiating with sales people. I was surfing the net for nearby Used Car Dealers and saw V&F Auto. Being unfamiliar with them, had planned to just drive past the location to get a view of their cars. My husband spotted a car and we decided to inquire about it. We had an approved financing budget and a particular car that we wanted. Up til that time, other places tried to persuade us to increase our amount financed or changing our minds to the kind of car we should get for the amount they wanted us to spend. The car was ideal but the pricing was a hair bit out of our budget. I was pleased when Jim offered a reasonable discount and was patient while I came up with the cash difference and then applied the approved loan to purchase the vehicle. He looked us in the eyes and said, You have my word that the car will not be sold to someone else, its yours! My loan was approved out of state, so the procedure was a little bit different but Jim always communicated about where they were in the process and encouraged me to contact him any time with concerns. What impressed me further was he went above and beyond to assist in transactions. I had to sign some papers but wasnt able to go to his office immediately, he told me he would swing by my home and get the signatures. There is a huge benefit in dealing with smaller companies rather than going to a large auto dealership. Service is personable, transparent, direct and individualistic. No flattery, no persons pushing to get their commissions, and no middle person involved. It was by far the easiest, stress free car purchase I have ever experienced. In the future, it will most likely be our fjrst place to visit instead the last.

I went in to have a tire plugged as there was a screw in it. I had never been here before - so to entice me to come back, they pleasantly surprised me when they told me it was on the house - no charge!!! I was given a loyalty card for oil changes also. Great things - they made quick work of a walk-in emergency, the facility is clea and beautifully decorated, complimentary coffee/tea, a big screen TV to pass the time, and the staff was very friendly. Super impressed!!

Took my 11 year old truck to V & F for the first time this week after finding them online. It had failed the State emissions test and I needed to see what needed to be fixed to pass.Although the repairs were extensive, Scott provided friendly, timely customer service and walked me through my options. They take the time to explain in a way that anyone can understand of what your car needs. Labor rate affordable but not cheap. Competitive rate based on job. Not going to charge you a large diagnosis fee for a $5.00 repair
