So, I dropped off 2 jetskis in mid April, didnt get them done until June 25th, 2 months later.Told them Id like to keep it under a 1000 to fix them if possible. I said I dont want to have no 2 grand into older machines and the mechanic said ohh no, 2 grand would get ya new motors. Both I did have started but not running the greatest.Told the mechanic all the things that had been fixed already, he decided to do it all again and charge me.I suggested where I felt he needed to start with,(electrical) because i didnt have the right tools myself, and guess what, $572 in parts later I was right. If I wanted to be nickel and dimed one new part at a time I would have continued working on it myself. To finish, 572 in parts and apparently 1400 in labor for all the hours of thinking about what might be wrong I had 2 skis that finally started up. I have no trouble paying for parts and work done, but not the time being spent on wondering what to replace next.. I could easily do that myself. Thats why we take machines to the Pros. Be the last time I take anything there again to be worked on.

Moto Dave knows his stuff, truly. However he is a business man. Despite negative local concerns, I had went back due to long term relationship. This cost me a couple hundred out of my pocket so he could be the middle man. Dont have connections to get the job done this is the place to go. Have connections take the time and do it yourself.

Excellent customer service. This is the kind of shop that I would like to do business with. I happened to be in the area and just stopped in and Im really glad I did. Dave was very friendly and helpful. Once we got to talking, he answered every question that I had and showed me products that would best fit my bike and riding style. The prices on gear here are very competitive and from what I could tell beat many online stores. I will definitely be back to get some new tires and gear from here. Thanks Dave!

I highly recommend Moto-1 for cycles and ATV repairs ( . . . and snowmobiles, and personal watercraft, and anything that runs on gasoline). I have dealt with Moto-1 and its owners for decades. Dave is an expert with small engines and has been racing and servicing his off road motorcycles since the late 1960s. Dave and his crew are practical, pragmatic and candid about reasonable service resolutions which are based on extensive experience, including issues regarding service and parts.

Got gear here to take my MSF class to get my motorcycle endorsement. The nice lady upfront helped my fit my helmet and pick out a frogg togg since it was supposed to rain during my class. The rain did not help me at all during the skills test, but the frogg togg kept me dry at least. Nice people here.

In response to:Overall Poor to fairUnbelievable experience with moto 1. Swapped parts from another customers quad and mine. Did work out of manufacturer tolerance. Left clutch super tight so would burn up idling. Sold me seals then didnt put them in my bike. Made him redo valve clearance, he tried to charge me twice. I refused. Checked his work the second time. Still wrong. Want my $ back. Trashed my battery. So i bought a new one. Then put my old battery in my buddys quad, the one he was swapping parts between n told my buddy his battery was bad. But we busted him in his final scam. Never trust these guys. They lied to my face.Disliked: Work not done correctly, Swapping parts from other customers machines, Things done wrong causes other damage, Argues with you, Swapped out battery with bad and tried to sell new. Untill we caught him, Lied to my face, Dont get all parts you payed for, Must redo work yourselfThis repose was written by the two fully licensed master power-sports mechanics employed at Moto 1 Cycle & ATV, LLCThe Gentleman who wrote this review, as well as his friend, brought us two Bombardier/Can-AM DS-650s. Of course, being the business we are, this is nothing unusual. However, the customer in question immediately indicated that he felt that we were incapable of doing our jobs by showing us a youtube video of how to set the valves on his machine, a routine maintenance procedure that we have both preformed hundreds of times. Upon completion of this procedure, the gentleman picked up his quad, only to bring it back to us shortly after, claiming that His buddy Ron Woods, a racing legend out west, told him that we had set his valves to the wrong spec, more specifically .002 too wide. This was an incorrect observation made by him, and to prove it, we not only cited the recommend service specs straight from Bombardier, but also called Ron Woods (who, for the record, does not know the gentleman in question, much less friends with him) who reported to us that the clearance we had set the valves to was more than adequate. However, we heeded his request. As far as the side cover/seals goes, we merely swapped the side covers between the two nearly identical machine so that he could get his machine back more rapidly, as the mechanical seals in question had not arrived yet. The battery was a similar story: the gentleman was already disgruntled at this point, so he refused to by a replacement battery, as his was, in fact, bad, from us. we cannot, however, send out a machine that cannot be stated, so we simply swapped them out to appease him.The moral of the story: We are not perfect, but the overwhelming majority of our clientele think highly of us, clearly evident, as the business has been around for more than ten years, and continues to grow at a fast pace. The company is headed by Dave Suydam, a master mechanic with over forty years of experience in the motorcycle and power-sports industry, and all of the mechanics who he employs are fully licensed and skilled at what they do. It is unfortunate that this individual had a negative experience with Moto 1. However, we encourage people to disregard this review, and decide for themselves if we are competent or not. If the general consensus of all our other customers holds true, you will not be disappointed.Thank you,Moto 1 Staff
