I had an issue with shipping due to being on the road for a bit and my temporary address wouldn’t verify in their system. One of their workers, Penny, contacted me about the issue and I gave her another version of the address and she had it fixed, processed, and on it’s way within a few minutes! Maggard has great customer service, not to mention a huge selection of products. This is why I’ve been using them for about two or three years now for my wet shave products. Small shoutout also to Brad who let me know that a Google review would be appreciated in lieu of a customer survey.

Ive made several orders, quick and no problems. Then came last Saturday. I did an order, right after I clicked submit order. I saw that I had an unwanted item in the order. I did chat message about the extra order. Most places will say too bad, so sad. You are getting what you ordered!NOT Maggards!!! Brad sent me back that he took out the unwanted brush knot. He also said that lowered my order where it would not get cheap shipping. If I wanted to add $4 item I would get cheap shipping. I told what to add.Any place can get a good review when it all goes to plan. Its when you need customer service, that it can go bad.Hats off to Maggaards!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best shave store anywhere

We went in about 30 minutes before they closed, knowing it wouldnt be a super quick trip (sorry Penny!), and they never made us feel rushed to leave so they could close. Penny was top notch customer service--she explained different things, suggested some scents that we might otherwise never have tried, and was helpful in deciding what to ultimately buy. She never pressured us to purchase anything, just wanted us to be happy with what we wanted. We will definitely be repeat customers. I love that they have samples of a LOT of their products so you dont pay full price for something you hate, especially if you cant make it into the store yourself to smell stuff ahead of time.

They put on quite a show.The location itself is a charming downtown building that really fits with their business model.

Purchased some beautiful Alpha Shaving brushes and Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream online. Im located in Canada. From start to finish, Maggards provides stellar service. Jerick was always quick to respond to any questions and professional all the way. A mistake was made with one of the original items ordered. Was corrected immediately by shipping correct item right away. Delivery took approximately 3 to 4 days (chose FedEx ground) in both instances. More than reasonable. Will definitely keep Maggards at the top of my list for my shaving supplies.

I ordered a wide range of shaving soap samples from brands that arent readily available (if at all) here in the UK. Brad, Casie and their team dispatched the samples the same day that I ordered them. Packaging was sturdy and international shipping costs were perfectly reasonable. Once Ive picked my favourites I will definitely be re-ordering from Brad & Casie.

I have a razor my dad gave me that was in terrible shape. It was extremely rusty with a broken handle. It was explained that it would cost more to restore than what the razor was worth. Asked about replacing the handle. I was given a reasonable price. The razor was cleaned as well as could be expected and the handle replaced. I recently took a second razor in. It was cleaned and polished. It looks good. The handle was polished and looks like new.

Nonexistant customer service

I drove 2 hours and 40 mins just to get here! Boy it was worth the trip! They had such a wide selection of beard grooming and beard trimming items! The part I loved the most was they also had women’s shaving stuff too! It made my man and I feel like we had something in common! Mr. Maggard himself helped us out and he was the best! Thank you for everything! We differently will be visiting here a lot more often!!!

Super fast standard shipping, even to Puerto Rico!

Always a great experience with this retailer. I live in Portland, OR and even from the other side of America, shipping is fast and priced reasonably. I look up popular products and order without trying them out. I have never been disappointed. Their safety razors are my favorite and priced right. Wish they had a brick and mortar store near me but I am very happy with their service and products.

Every experience that I have had with Maggard Razors has been excellent. They have a broad range of top quality products and are very competitively priced. The Maggard line of razors is excellent. Well balanced, beautifully machined handles are a pleasure to use. The web site provides a nice explanation of the characteristics of the razor head. The ability to mix and match is a nice feature. With my open comb MR6, I cant get a closer shave without taking off skin. More vendors should follow this example.

This place (their online store) was highly recommended by the shaving forum on Reddit and they just happened to be within driving distance. The selection is incredible and the proprietor was very helpful. I had a lot of questions about razors, brushes, handles, soaps, you name it. I purchased a Double Edge Safety Razor starter kit from Maggard Razor on Thursday Evening. I had the tracking info by the following morning and the package was delivered by Monday. The prices were quite excellent and my purchases were exactly what I wanted. They charge pretty much actual shipping. Overall, it was an excellent experience with great communication and I fully intend to use them for most of my shaving supply purchases in the future.

Started Wet Shaving, and looking for the best prices online. Found one, then another, and then found Maggard Razors. What a great store, and great prices. I called and talked to Brad, to get some info on the store and some razor blades. Brad, one of the owners was great to talk to. He knew everything that I needed to know witch impressed me, since I dont know much about Wet Shaving. A day or two went by and then I needed some blades, I looked all around the Web and trust me Maggards Has the best prices, Hands Down. Placed my order and within Minutes I had got more than one email letting me know that they had got and processed my order they told me that it was expected to arrive at my place on Wednesday, and it did. I love it when an online company is on the ball with what they do. Im gonna be a regular customer for sure.

Amazing service! I placed an order at approximately 11 am on a Tuesday, and within 5 minutes had an email from Casie letting me know itd be shipped out the same day. Sure enough, by 1 pm I had a shipping confirmation, and received my items the next day! Shipping was less than $3 and I couldnt believe how fast everything came. Quite possibly the greatest shaving store on planet Earth... my first visit and I was quite overwhelmed. However, Penny was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, even giving me a demonstration on how to lather shaving soap! I usually shop online, but being able to smell all the different scents of creams and soaps (and there are MANY) and to be able to pick up the razors and feel the differences in weight... what a great experience. WOW. What a store!! First - the layout is gorgeous and well thought out. Second - the owner is one of the nicest people I’ve met and incredibly knowledgeable about the world of wet shaving. I walked into the store a total novice, and while I’m still very much a beginner, I walked out with great confidence in my purchases. Brad took the time to go over all different types of safety razors, their benefits, levels of aggressiveness, and the types of configurations to help me make a great choice. I had my heart set on the Merkur 34G, and while I did end up going with this, he showed me a lot of great options at a lower price point as well (although I feel the price is great for a gold plated razor) and what can I say it just caught my eye. That’s one of the cool things about Brad- not only is he fun to talk with and easy going, his goal is to make sure you get the most for your money. He knew I was new at the hobby and Not once did he try to sell me on anything super expensive (well you did put that Thater shave Brush in my hand that was just divine! - though that was my own doing haha). Brad also took the time to teach me the differences between the different types of soaps (hard, soft, etc) and compare them with shaving creams (not to be confused with aerosol junk!). Having no idea how to use these, he even took me over to a sink they have in the store specially for live demo’s and showed me how to whip up a proper lather (with a synthetic brush I might add). One of my main concerns with going synthetic was if the brush would be able to hold lather, or even work well on soaps instead of creams. His demonstration put my mind at ease and I comfortably selected the Maggard 24 synthetic as my first shave brush. Used it last night and Wow. Felt great. Got a pretty good lather (not as great as Brad’s; I’m still learning lol) and with that Merkur 34G my head is the smoothest it’s ever been. With Zero irritation (although I did manage to nic my head once or twice in the back on the second pass lol. Still getting the technique down)Having no idea what blades to choose, Brad picked out 5 different options for me and created a mini sample pack to help get me started. All in all it was a Fantastic experience and I’m so glad I made the hour trip down to the store from where I live. Brad is a great guy, with a lot of passion for wet shaving and helping others. If you’ve been considering going to the store, it’s worth the trip! If it’s too far and you have to shop online, do so with confidence- he has a whole team dedicated to ensuring your process goes smooth.Last but not least- The Soap and Cream collections offered in the store are Extensive! Give yourself at least a half hour or more to check out all of the different scents. You could easily spend more time, you’ll want at least at good 15-30min if you’re into finding the right scent- and that’s not due to a lack of good ones, quite the opposite! I have heard a lot of great things about Maggard, but never had the chance to order from them. I desperately needed some DE blades and decided to go with them. Could not be happier! I placed two different online orders at two retailers at the same time. One at Maggard and one at an unrelated company, which was much much larger. Shipping times were the same, but I not only got a tracking number from Maggard faster, but the package was here the day after a three day weekend. The other, package, still waiting....I will gladly be a repeat customer for such amazing service!

Excellent! Better than expected, well worth the hour ride. The store has a nice variety of products and pretty much covers every angle of shaving needs. The Maggard product line is really affordable and solid, holding some of the Maggard line of razors was like holding a 3/8 ratchet (seriously.) Something to point out is all the safety razors are out on a shelf for you to handle and check out on your own. The owners were there and were really nice. All in all it was one of those shopping ventures that I spent way more than planned but was really happy to. I am just glad the store is an hour away and not around the corner.My purchase- Merkur 37c slant razor, Maggard limes&bergamont shave soap (awesome,) peach scented witch-hazel and a T-shirt.

Thank you for the individual samples for Taylor Of Old Bond Street! I bought the coconut and the renown sandalwood cream samples. I was going to buy the coconut initially but found through a youtube channel about how Maggards sells samples. It was so worth it. Ill now be buying the Sandalwood cream. Shipping was cheap (about $2.20). The samples price is a sweet deal for a little over $2. Fast shipping and great individual communication is why Im giving 5 stars instead of 4!

This store and their service is great. It is a little hidden in its location but man do they have everything you need with great prices! It is nice to see a local shop with such an amazing shaving collection that doesnt jack up their prices 200%.They have all you need for a good double edge or straight razor shaves with an excellent shave cream and soap collection and pretty much 90% of all the Double edge razor blades available. They carry Simpson brand badger hair brushes and even offer straight razor rehoning and refurbishing.

Brad took me in to his shop, when I knew nothing about honing. Spent an entire night teaching me the proper techniques and pitfalls to avoid. He is the real deal, cares about the products he carries and wants to teach and help the wet shaving community. He did this without knowing me or my skill set. I bought scales at his shop and he drilled my top holes for free and gave me more advise and direction so that I can restore my own straights. Who does that? This alone speaks volumes about him and his staff. I drive and hour and a 1/2 just to get his input and advise. Did I mention that all of his products are top shelf and he carries a large selection.He stops his restoration to provide customer service while I am in his store. Do you see a pattern emerging?

Ordered a new razor and some soap from them on April 14, and it was here on April 22. Pretty exceptional service considering I am in western Canada. I have had to wait longer for items to arrive from a neighbouring province.

I took a road trip from Ann Arbor to Maggards razors. Im the type who likes to see, smell what Im buying. Brad and his wife were as friendly as can be. He took the time to explain things to me and answer my questions with patience. Thats the type of customer service that will cause me to be a loyal customer. They have their own line of products (London barber is smells great)! I got a sample and used it this morning. The aroma after I lathered up was wonderful. The soap was slick all the at through. I tend to be more picky because my hair is course and curly. But this soap work great, Ill be back to pick up a puck. They also have tons of other shaving supplies. Well worth the drive if you live in Michigan and relatively close to Adrain. If not ordering was just as pleasant. Maggar Razors gets an A++++++ from me.

Drove 2 hours to visit the store and the doors were locked an hour and 15 min before posted hours. Nothing posted on web site or twitter.This was on a Thursday night, June 9. Posted hours were til 8 PM. Arrived at 6:45 and doors were locked.

After hearing about Maggards on many shaving forums I figured out that it was right in my back yard only 25 min away from me! I decided to go check it out being new to straight razor shaving. I was totally blown away when I walked through the door. Behind the simple outside of there building was an amazing little shop packed full of every shaving need you could possibly have. The staff that took the time to answer every question I had, let me smell every shaving cream and aftershave I had any questions about and showed me more about shaving brushes in 10 minutes than countless time spent on the internet has taught me. My head was spinning from all that I had learned and couldnt really decide which shaving cream and aftershave I would like. The young lady that was helping me suggested a sampler pack of my favorites from that day. One excellent shaving brush, a hand full of samples and an alum block has made me a Maggards customer for life.
