I brought my Subaru in for repairs yesterday and they had it fixed next day. It is so nice to have a repair place just do their job and be honest to you about it. I have had my mustang there a couple of times for upgrades. Last year I brought it in and had them do a full exhaust install; long tube headers, x pipe, single chamber mufflers. I have also had them do a performance cam swap. Car ran flawlessly both times. I cant recommend them enough, as they have never let me down. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of work is excellent. They seem to genuinely care about their customers, and doing great work. I will continue to use them for repairs and upgrades.

My 2008 Ford Explorer would not start after a trip grocery shopping. This gave me the opportunity to use Tanner Auto which a coworker recommended to me months ago. Tanner called me back the same day with the diagnosis and estimate to replace the starter. I decided to have them give the vehicle a complete once over due to its age. I took the vehicle into two other shops this year to address a grinding noise in the front wheel area. Neither shop successfully fixed that issue. Tanner took a look and called me back with their recommendation. All issues have been fixed and the 11 year old vehicle with almost 200k miles is running like a top again. Very pleased with the communication and service I received and I will be a return customer in the event of any other issues. Thank you to the Tanner Team!

He wont rip you like other unmentioned mechanics in town. He is usually scheduled pretty far out but is to be expected of such a great mechanic .

Slow on repairs

Went here for the first time today due to a blown tail light. Everyone that was working there were complete gentlemen. I was in and out of there in less then 15 minutes and they didnt charge me a thing! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

The only place I go to get my car fixed. Very awesome shop, hopefully they will expand to a bigger shop with more parking space though.

I took my truck there and paid for a remanufactured transmission(almost 1700 by the time everything was said and done) so when they called and said it was ready to go I came and picked it up. It drove great for about a week and then the trans started slipping. So I called and asked for them to take a look at it again, which they did. A few more weeks go by and I called to see what was going on with it and they said that they had another trans on the way because the one they received and installed was faulty; which okay, no big deal! So another 2 weeks go by and I pick up my truck again it drove great for a few weeks. But again the trans started to slip. So once again I called back and said it is slipping again. This time when I took it in it was once again a faulty transmission. So this time I stayed on top of things and was calling every few days only to receive a different story every time. Finally they told me it would be done by Friday( it was Tuesday at the time) so I waited patiently until Friday and called around noon or so to find out the trans they ordered this time was a salvage yard transmission and that every trans they had put in it was from a salvage yard. They refused to refund the difference even after the truck was done the last time; and so when I got home (I live in Onsted so it was more than enough time for the trans to warm up to standard operating temperature not to mention it was 85 degrees outside) only to find the trans was leaking fluid and had been over filled. So I called the following morning and spoke with the owner who was quite short and snippy about it. All I asked for was for them to install a remanufactured transmission and all I got hassle, and someone trying to take me for a fool. Bottom line is, I wouldn’t recommend these guys for an oil change.

Great service all the time

They repaired a ball joint on my driver side, which I was wanting to also have an alignment done same day. One guy quoted me one price, when I went in to pick up my car I was quoted 100$ more! Not to mention, I had to wait over an hour after they called to say my car was ready for pick up. That is just the first of it! I almost lost my life thanks to Tanners for not properly putting my lug nuts back on my driver side tire! I drive all the way to Ann Arbor everyday for work. Luckly my step dad is a ex- machanic. One day he was driving behind me, where he was able to let me know my tire was about to fly off. My tire had only 1 lug nut holding it in place! Im just glad my two children werent in the car! Tanners is extremely lucky I could not provide evidence they were the last ones who worked on my car, I would of sued! If I could give a -0 review I would! I guess I should of known going to a garage next to a jail was never a good idea🤦🏻‍♀️

ININITIALY GAVE TANNER AUTO A 5 STAR REVIEW!!! NOT AFTER THIS WEEK. MY CAR WAS MAKING A REAR CLUNKING NOISE. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC NOT IN ADRIAN, THEY TOLD ME I HAD A BROKE SHOCK MOUNT!!! THEY TOLD ME IT IS STANDARD ON OLDER CARS TO CHANGE THEM WHEN THEY CHANGE THE SHOCKS. OH NO TANNERS SAID NOT IF THEY DIDNT SEE A PROBLEM AN WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME ANOTHER 95.00 TO FIX THEM.WELL I HAD THEM FIXED HERE IN WATERFORD FOR THE SAME PRICE AND THEY ALSO SAID THAT TANNERS HAD TO KNOW THEY WERE BAD BECAUSE THERE WAS A NEW BUSHING ON IT!!! I ASKED THEM TO TELL ME EVERYTHING I NEED TO DO TO MY CAR, THEY MISSED ONE VERY IMPORTANT PROBLEMI HAVE A BROKEN MOTOR MOUNT.I CALLED THEM AN THEY SAID THEY HAVE GOTTEN RID OF A FEW PEOPLE SO IT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THEMAN WAIT FOR IT.....ONE OF THE SHOCKS WAS ON BACKWARDS AN THE LITTLE AIRHOSE WAS STRETCHED AROUND TO THE FRONT,GET IT TOGETHER TANNER AUTO.........

Was quoted 1500 from a deal for a repair, Tanners got it done for under 500. Plus GREAT service and friendly staff, cant recommend highly enough.
