After calling Dewalt, they sent me to Berlands House of Tools in Lombard, which DOES NOT accept warranty repairs, FYI. Even though they are listed first on Dewalts website too as the closest repair center to me. The gentleman at the service counter there outright screamed at me. Who sent you here? I simply said Dewalt did! He sent me further North to this Dewalt Factory Service Center in Addison and there is a note on the door, Closed at 2pm. I called before coming and the hours said open until 4:30. They didnt bother changing the hours on the automated hours message that I called before driving there or Google map listing I got directions from that also listed the hours. Drove over an hour each way for nothing. Terrible!

My porter cable 18 g brad nailer broke. Called Porter Cable customer service, went in and talked to Steve. He looked at my broken nailer, checked with his mechanics, gave me the max price for repair. He also offered me an option to trade in the item for brand new brad nailer with a warranty. He gave me his full focus and stellar customer service. Didnt try to rush me, even though they were fairly busy. Check this place out.
Customer service like back in the old days, had an issue with my drill and I was expecting to drop it off for warranty service but they swapped it out. DeWalt has a customer for life now.

They dont answer their phone. Cant go to Facebook cuz they say no we are not the same.I own probably 40 different DeWalt tools thousands of dollars worth.If youre reading this dont bother just go with another brand its not its not fair to us its not fair to them so do what you got to do but this is just sad this company is gone way downhill.Anything you buy now breaks....You cant get it fixed you cant even get warranty its nothing.

Terrible service. Never answer the phone. Left me a voicemail saying they fixed my 60v chainsaw that was supposed to be under warranty and told me that I owe $138. And talking to customer service about it is even more frustrating.

Excellent service engineers that are knowledgeable and courteous. Because I live within 10 minutes from this service center I take all of my DeWalt and Porter Cable tools here for servicing and warranty repair work. If you live within driving distance of this place go in person instead of mailing your tools in.
I was here at wednesday 4:00pm ( they should close at pm ) they were closed. No info on the door or anywhere i was going here like for 2 hours to just see the doors. Nice. I ll buy milwaukee rather. The guy just left the shop in front of me. Didnt say me anything.

Best service experience ever at the DeWalt factory service center in Addison, IL . The guy took a look at a trimmer I had purchased maybe about a year ago that was having problems, after checking it out for about a minute or so, told his associate to give me a brand new unit. No receipt or anything. Highly recommend Dewalt tools -great products and phenomenal service. Both gentleman that helped me were fantastic.

Not impressed. Before dropping off my miter saw, I was given a max amount the cost would be and that it could very well be less than that amount. Sure enough, it cost the max amount to repair and was factory reconditioned replacing items that had nothing to do with what I was looking to achieve.

I had been coming to this place for many years to fix my tools under 3 years Dewalt tough warranty, they never asked receipt if the tool was manufactured under 3 years and was repair to function like a new, however, lately I was surprised by policy change stating by Dewalt representative. I brought latest brushless powerfull hammer drill DCD996 to repair, however, I was informed that going to cost 80$ and I have to wait 6 weeks. So I will be careful with another tools made by DeWalt at that point. I dont feel I abused that tools as much and the drill suddenly stopped. I would expect more for kit costing $400 (drill & inpact driver). I currently own more than 30 different cordless tools made by DeWalt dut that experiace make me feel different about quality.

Brand new dewalt router. Didn’t use till 6 months after purchase. Stoped working after one pass. Took it to these guys, salesperson was unsympathetic, offered no solution other than to wait 7-10 days for repair. 16 days later no phone call so i stoped in. Told it won’t be ready for another 7 days. Unacceptable, was asked if I need it “rushed?” Dewalt this is not the image of lack of urgency or quality to retain and acquire customers. Every repair should be a rush job.
They didnt charge me to take a quick look at my stapler and tell me they couldnt find a problem. Appreciated the honesty...
