I bought a 2016 VW Passat with Jason as my salesman just over 2 years ago. I was a 17 year old girl with cash who definitely could have been taken advantage of with my non-existent knowledge of cars. He was very helpful when explaining everything about the car.The price was reasonable, with the car having around 39,000 miles. This car had a few cosmetic errors that I knew about before buying (3-4 quarter sized dents for one, they did try to fix them but I don’t quite remember why they were unsuccessful) and the price reflected that. I have included 2 pictures of wear that was there when I bought the car, I only added what I know for sure were cosmetic damages I received the car with, because I have added plenty of my own scratches.This car has been through heavy wear and tear, with a teenage girl behind the wheel haha. I mostly keep up with all the services, especially the oil changes. No service or part problems at all, this has been a dream on my pockets!! I have recommended several people to this dealership when looking for cars (not sure how many actually checked it out). 10/10 experience :)

The Sales Manager Jason is very unprofessional, arrogant, and rude. I was hung up on when I expressed concerns of getting my car back; as one day of work turned into three days. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership they are only out to get money and they do not care about the actual needs of their customers. In edit I never once used any profanity in the conversation I had with Jason. I expressed how I wished I had of went with another dealership and was told “well too bad you already bought the car take it or leave it.” And then was hung up on. My review is honest not to mention my vehicle was returned to me with little to no gas and I was told by the driver “ yea I had to stop and put in $10 because they had you on E” I was treated rude for no reason no profanity was ever used but that was a good try. The vehicle’s exterior was also filthy the day I drove off. Also I had my full down payment not to mention I paid a deposit and left my card information. Your “sales professionals “ are in severe need of a customer service refresher course. Yes the vehicle is Decent but the headache that came along with getting it was not needed. There are many other places in Dallas that have great cars and offer a far better customer experience.

Beware - fully refundable deposit does not mean fully refundable deposit. It means, now that you have given us your money, go f yourself. Luckily credit card company saw my point of view and reversed the transaction. Turned me off the whole car buying experience.edit: barely any of the owners response is true - the fully refundable deposit was for 72 hours. I made a decision on day 4 (after discovering issues with the vehicle on day 3 that the dealer refused to rectify/investigate). They didnt grant me 4 extra days, they never made it clear I had 24 hours to make a decision, they never mentioned anything beyond 48 hours would not be refundable. The owners response contradicts itself. Any of that sort of warning would have been welcome, I would have politely declined and the owner could have sold the vehicle to someone else. It is interesting they dont understand this especially that the finance manager doesnt understand this. You would think this would be their job.

Made an online purchase of a vehicle convenient since I live 6 hours away. Turns out this was a bad choice.. After specifically requesting information about mechanical issues, I was told there was nothing major wrong with the car. Turns out I bought a car with a leaking head gasket (at least a $3,500 repair). Unless you have your own mechanic or are one and can personally inspect the vehicle, do not buy a car from them.Edit: Funny they can reply to a review, but not an email...

Good Experience overall, they let me go on a test drive by myself and give it a once over for any issues. Oil needed to be changed and a few interior pieces were damaged. They ordered the replacement pieces, had the oil changed, detailed the interior and everything was great. Upon pickup though, the exterior was filthy, not horrible I guess since it happened to be raining but still unacceptable I feel. But I would recommend for the buyers experience and professionalism alone.

I traveled 5 hours to purchase my dream car & to do business with Vdubs. Purchased 2015 Mercedes Benz GLA, upon purchasing not only did I test drive the car. I asked all required questions, specifically about the motor and transmission. I was advised that both transmission and motor was good. Jason spoke very highly of the owner and reassured me that every car they have on their lots, is tested and thoroughly checked and inspected before sale! I even had them change two tires. Asked about the oil change, everything! I took Jason’s word. Exactly two weeks later car was no longer running with a check engine light. After notifying Vdubs about the issue I was first advised my bank had not paid the draft that I could return the car and move on. I later received a text informing me they we’re sticking with the loan but promised to make it right! There was no plan on how we could make it right. No one is communicating with me, answering me or returning my calls. I can reach out at opening, even send a text to Jason at 8:00a and will not hear back from anyone til after 6, 7 at night via Text. Business days passing by. After speaking with the owner he asked if I could take the car somewhere else other than Mercedes (because of their high rates) and see if someone would take a look at the car and in his words “we may can get it fixed for just a couple hundred” Taking matters into my own hands because another day had passed. I pay to have the car towed to a Mercedes dealer to run a diagnostic test which later turned into a compression test which revealed the car needed a whole new engine, flooded catalytic converters and a bad battery, totaling over $14,000 in repairs for a $18,000 car labeled as “pre- existing” conditions. After speaking to the owner he still insist on having the car towed 5 hours from where I live back to Dallas to have a second opinion as if Mercedes made up the results from the diagnostic. Car loan has not been paid, please cancel the draft and take the car back. Today makes exactly one week I have been without a car and this whole situation is a nightmare. The car was supposed to be picked up two days ago (have it all in text) & is still sitting at Mercedes with no progress, or resolution cancel the draft, take the car back It’s the right thing toDo. The car should’ve never been put up for sale! We’ve been in a pandemic for awhile now, I’m just trying to survive out here. Please make it right!

DONT BUY!!!!! Super sketchy dealership, I bought a car from them in January and still don’t have my title, license plates or registration. I’ve called several times and have been in to the dealership with no answer only them saying the title person isn’t in and him never contacting me back... Extremely unprofessional and seems like they’ve been avoiding me.

Saw a great price for one of their Audi Q7’s online, gave them a call, went in to test drive and had the paperwork signed all within several hours. Fair, honest, and reliable are the words I would use to describe my experience here. I came in with my dad to buy my first car and was greeted and brought to the lot so that we could look around. Any questions we had Scott was able to answer, and I never felt a pushy used car salesman vibe from him. I bought the car the next week after researching and discovering the price to be exactly fair: not a rip off for either party. After driving it for a couple days I discovered an electronics issue causing the headlights intermittently stop working. I called up Scott and he told me to bring it in. They took the car to repair over the weekend, and even set me up with a temporary vehicle in the meantime. On Monday I picked up the car and they had replaced relevant fuses and the headlight assembly free of charge. Everything was working properly when I left. Later that day I noticed the same issue occurring, and they told me to bring it back and they would fix it, and again they gave me a temporary car in the meantime. This time the mechanic took the whole thing apart, checked all the wiring, reset the comfort module, and replaced the headlight assembly AGAIN. Then, he took a few days to check that the lights were working every time he turned them on. When he was satisfied, he called me in and gave me the keys, once again free of charge, and the car has been running great since. I highly recommend vdubsonly for a reliable car buying experience.

I bought a Focus from V Dubs Only about a year ago. We agreed that they would pay for two tires and Id pay for the other two, because the car needed new tires. Unfortunately for me, they put the incorrect tires for the weight of my vehicle, so now I cant even have a tire shop fix a flat that I have because of the incorrect load for the tires. Make sure that they put the correct tires on your car if they agree to put new tires on.

I will say that I was very leery about purchasing a used car from a small independent dealer. This experience wasnt even close to what I expected.I was contacted by Jason after I had filled out a credit app online with an approval up to a certain amount. This was within the range of the car I was looking at so I made arrangements to come down and see the car in a few days. Unfortunately the car sold before I was about to get down there but Jason called me to let me know this so I did not make a wasted trip. We discussed the inventory he had and he also told me that if I was set on a certain make and model that he would keep an eye out for one and let me know when one came in.I ended up finding a car on their website that I like and went down to test drive it. Jason is a friendly and very casual guy. The dealership itself is a very casual atmosphere so do not expect suits and ties. Jason pulled the car out of the warehouse that it was parked in and I took it for a test drive. When I returned, I mentioned a couple of concerns with the car and Jason let me know that he would make sure that I was completely satisfied with the car when I purchased it.The paperwork was easy and very straight forward and Jason made good on his commitment that I would be satisfied. The day after I got the car home, one of the issues returned and event though Jason and I discussed that I was buying the car as-is, he had be bring the car back, gave me a loaner to drive and had the issue fixed. He was not obligated to do this but he still did.For me, this was a great experience. Jason was great to work with, completely up front and I felt comfortable with his answers to my questions. Not many dealers, small or large will take care of a problem that happens after the vehicle leaves the lot when it is sold as-is. These guys impressed me!

Much like the street this is located on this place is shady. Ended up buying a car from them, and overall its fine, but its obvious they tried to hide some damage in the back. They used masking tape, some non matching paint and had the rear wiper on upside down (It was literally wiping the painted portion of the rear). My first clue should have been when I showed up from 4 hours south to test drive it and the radio and seat didnt even work. (They did fix the seat and radio after about a week of trying to negotiate with them about it) How was this not noticed by them before trying to sell?But all in all, some of that was on me. The part that really makes them 1 star for me is how dishonest their sales guy Scott is. I spent two months trying to call and text to get the things that they forgot to ship with the car. Literally just needed them to send me a box with the extra key fob and rear head rest that mysteriously vanished from the vehicle between the time I test drove it and it shipping. 2 months of him promising he would send it, and then 2 or 3 times it was in the mail, and yet somehow, I never got the items. Ive tried to call them to talk to someone else, but he screens the calls.Thank god I dont seem to have a lemon, but I would suggest trying elsewhere in case you arent as lucky. They cant even send me a box in the mail, they certainly wont help you with anything else.

I had an overall very pleasant experience with VDubs. I found a car I loved online and went in within a couple of days to look at it. It looked just like in the pictures and as described, no bait and switch. Scott was very helpful and friendly answering my questions. I ended up getting a pretty good deal on a fantastic car, along with trading in my previous baby. They even replaced a couple of cosmetic parts around the gear shift free of charge once I noticed defects after taking the car home. Ive had the car for a while now and its still running perfectly, Im so glad I went to them I love it.

Horrible experience! Ive never written a review, good or bad, but I felt it necessary to do so and share experience I had with Scott Frasier/VDUBS Only. I think I shouldve gone with my gut instinct when I saw they were located on Shady Trails!!?!!I found a truck that I liked and spoke with Scott about it. I wanted to make a couple of changes tires/leveling kit. Scott did everything I asked and in a timely manner. I live out of state and wanted to have the truck shipped to me. Thats when everything went South. When I asked Scott why the truck didnt show up when promised, he told me that the carriers truck had mechanical problems in Shreveport Louisiana . I understand these things do happen. For the next five days Scott was giving me excuse after excuse and telling me the truck would be to me the following day. Once I realize that the truck was not going to be delivered to me, I asked Scott to refund me the $500 deposit I put down. The same scenario played out again as far as the excuses and broken promises. I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company and it seems as though I will get my deposit back. I just wish Scott would have been upfront and honest with me!!!

I’m going to start by saying that I dealt with Scott and he was excellent !! It was very nerve-racking buying vehicle . I bought a 2008 Maybach 57 online never seen it in person so I did not want to be scammed!!! Scott made me feel very comfortable!! Sent videos, and was right there on time with all information I needed. Did not avoid me, picked up every phone call. Responded to all texts! He was very gracious, loyal accountable, and honerable. Stayed in contact with me the whole time all the way to the drop off. I was very appreciative and I will buy another car from them again NO QUESTION!!

I bought my car back in June of 2019 from SCOTT. Great experience buying the car but Horrible in following back after purchase. Specifically SCOTT. SCOTT promised to send me a radio button that was missing to my radio when I bought the car and no radio button has yet to arrive. I also traded in a car that SCOTT said he was going to remove the Toll Tag on and never did. I know this because in September of 2019 I received a Toll Tag bill from Austin Texas. Meaning whoever bought the car from VDubs is driving it with my old toll tag still on the car! I just received another bill with late fees and the bill is now going into collections due to non-payment! I reached out to SCOTT many times and he has many times told me that he was going to send my radio button and pay for the Toll Tag bill. It is March of 2020 and still no radio button nor paid toll tag bill! The last text message that I received from SCOTT was on Jan 6th @ 1:52pm saying When are you coming to Dallas next. Just come by Ill put it on myself. It shouldnt be this hard. He sent this msg after he told me repeatedly that he was going to send me the button in the mail and pay for the Toll Tag bill. I have text msgs and pictures of SCOTT and his promises if anybody cares to address this with him?!

I bought a pickup in late February and was promised by Scott a 2nd key within the week and mailing the license plates. After several calls over 3 weeks, Scott lied about mailing them, I called Jason who got a 2nd key within 2 days, but now the MVD is closed so no plates and no title. So with reading other comments on Scott lying, why does this continue?

I bought a 2013 BMW from VDubsOnly. When I came to inspect the car Scott was very friendly and without hesitation handed me the keys to go check out the car. I’m sure a different dealership would have put me through the runaround to get to this point. Buying the car was quick and painless. however after I purchased the car an unforeseen issue came up and I had to get the car repaired. When I contacted Scott and he was quick to offer to repair it. However due to circumstance I already had the car repaired. These guys were extremely professional and returned a portion of the cost of the repair to make things right. All in all I had a good experience and would recommend to a friend.

Buying my car was pretty straight forward, and I got it for a good price. I was happy with my car until I got a flat and to my surprise the car had neither a spare tire, nor a jack, both things I assumed came with a car. So now Im forking out a bunch of money to tow my car.

I generally hate the vehicle buying process due to the haggling and the pressure you get from the sales guy, but I never experienced any of that at VDubs Only. I have nothing buy high praises for the group. I worked with Scott and he was very helpful through every step of the process. When I called to schedule a time to look at the vehicle, during my lunch hour, he had it ready and practically running for me to test drive. Scott answered every email I sent him in a professional and timely manner. The vehicle I purchased was a 2017 Passat and I was very pleased with the price and condition of the vehicle. I was greeted by a red/multicolored shoulder length haired salesman named Mandie. Her greeting was rather odd, and lacked professionalism to say the least. Her words to me when I entered V Dubs Only was, Whats up dog?. Not only was this greeting the opposite of professional, but for her to use this type of language towards me is uncalled for when I saw her greet other potential buyers in a more professional manner. Once I ask to speak to the manager and go about inquiring specific information to finish my visit, I simply say you have a good day, she then says in a loud obnoxious tone you have a good day homie. The owner then proceeds to tell me that she speaks like that to everyone and that she means no harm.Due to Mandies lack of professionalism, and demeaning attitude not only will I not be purchasing a vehicle from them or conducting any future business with them, but I would not recommend anyone doing business at this establishment if these type of mannerisms on the part of sales managers are allowed by superiors.

This dealership is a diamond in the rough.Although we didnt buy a car from here. A couple months of ago I went with my friend here and we went to look and test drive a car. The car had cosmetic defects that my friend couldnt see past fixing. The people there were nice, not pushy, and one of them said they were a family owned business. Remember guys, this is a used car dealership. Although they arent the official dealer, these guys had the best priced cars and usually the price was lower because of cosmetic defects. The performance and the reliability may not have been lost, but the cosmetic appearance can greatly devalue a car. However, anyone can pay $500 to wrap the car or $1000 to have someone wrap it for you, and essentially you get an awesome dream car for cheap.So other reviews complaining about missing parts and etc, thats your fault, because you did not have someone check over the car for you. When you sign for a car you agree to take it on AS IS, so before you buy, check over everything on the car. Lack of car buying knowledge is the only thing that is going to be problem if your buying from this dealer.They even have a Bentley listed on their site for 57,000 now thats a steal if all it has is cosmetic defects.Car modders, hot rodders, and performance nuts will have a field day in their car inventory.

Bought a car. No issues. Its a little informal but I was there to buy a car and not get my butt kissed. Whole process took less than 2 hours.

Where to begin...My first experience went rather well buying my first car (vw Jetta) which I was then promised a spare key to go with it. 6 months of constant excuses and lies from Scott about the whereabouts of the key became increasingly frustrating. For the record I never got my spare key for this vehicle, for any potential buyers out there be sure to put that as a contract stipulation they must follow through with. After my Jetta was totalled we returned to buy a Passat and during the exchange Scott took us to a backroom full of spare keys just to show us deliberately that the spare Jetta key was sitting there the entire time. This act was extremely rude and disrespectful. The Passat itself was stored away deep in the warehouse literally collecting dust and i noticed that the radio was missing. When I asked him about why that is he explained I have a new one coming in tomorrow which doesnt make any sense if its evidently been sitting there for some time. If anything he likely took a radio out of an existing vehicle and put it in the passat. Following the purchase receiving the key also took an unreasonable amount of time before the key actually was ready, almost to the point of taking it up in a small claims court. my advice to anyone buying from this dealershipIs to keep your wits about you because they will lie through their teeth. Very unprofessional

Terrible customer service, Scott was very rude and showed a lot of attitude. Would have made a purchase here but was very put off by Scott and walked away. Only gave a star because I had to, would recommend staying away from this place

If you take your VW anywhere else, youre screwing up. Never had a mechanic as knowledgeable, reliable or efficient. Youll want a VW just so you can take it here. Best business in all of DFW in any sector.

This dealership is by far the worst I have ever seen since I became old enough to purchase a car. The car I wanted to buy was listed on CarGurus for 17990.00 and said nothing about it being wrecked previously, after driving 8 hours to buy it, I found out the car had sustained 2 major hits, and they lied about the price, they claimed that what was listed online is the cash price and financing price is 19500, which it wasn’t listed or explained in their listing. Scott, manager/owner or whatever was extremely rude and unhelpful. Wouldn’t recommend doing business with such deceptive dealership.

They were very helpful up until we discovered the car might have unibody/frame damage!! Once we read the Carfax about it, the woman who was helping us said we could do an inspection on the car if we paid for it. Since she SWORE there really was no damage, it was only cosmetic, we agreed. They already had driven the car over to the dealership to program a key, so we told them to just leave it there, and that we would pick it up the next morning after the inspection. Well, the next day we got no answer. VDubs had picked up the car without our knowledge-- NEVER having gotten the inspection done. It took them another 48 hours to finally take the car to the dealership for its inspection. And, sure enough, we had been lied to. There was frame damage. Not only this, but four days later, the car was still sitting at the dealership because they had not made their way over to pick it up.I am SO glad we got it inspected before buying.Be careful this is a sneaky, unorganized dealership.

The customer service was great and they were very willing to work with us. However, the car we purchased is not in the best shape. We have barely had the car a year and we have already had to purchase 4 new tires, fix an oil leak, and the glove compartment is missing the handle. We were promised that they would replace the glove compartment within a couple of weeks at no charge, but nothing ever surfaced from that. We have already spent about $1500 in maintainance on this car and are facing another $1500 in further maintainence within the next month. This is all on top of car payments and insurance.If you choose to purchase a vehicle from these people, make sure to look over everything thoroughly and anything that needs to be fixed on the car, make sure they put it in writing that they will fix it and hold them to it. That is unless you are willing to shell out a whole lot of money for repairs.

Sold me a really decent and long lasting car

I dont usually write reviews, but after all the hassle I went through with other dealerships trying to buy my sisterling her 1st car I had to. Wed had a lot of issues with other dealerships (Central and Southwest Kia specifically ) advertising false prices and mileage in their inventory, even if you called to verify they lied to get you in the door. I called VDUBS Only to verify price and mileage on a few models and they confirmed that it was what was listed on the site, went in the same day and to my shock they had told the truth! Every car on the lot was in very good condition, and our saleswoman, Mandy, was a joy to work with and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the cars she was selling. Ive never been to a car dealership before that I could honestly say I would absolutely go back to without any hesitation before this one. Easiest and least stressful car buying experience Ive ever had hands down. Oh, and their prices are extremely fair. Most of the cars are being sold for less than what KBB suggests as the price.
