Stopped by to inquire about a thorough cleaning of one of my rifles and mounting/bore-sighting a new scope. I ended up letting him clean a pistol too and install a laser sight grip. Luther went out of his way to answer all my questions candidly and with remarkable customer care. He’s very knowledgeable and willing to let you borrow his years of experience as a way to simply add value to you. I recommend this gun shop — and recommended meeting Luther.

Went in last night to purchase my fiance a weapon. We talked w the owner for about an hr, and decided on a 9mm and a shotgun for home defense. I had to leave but she stayed to finish and pay. Then it gets downright BSish. She said he started incessantly flirting, asking her to dinner, wanting to know her bra size, etc. Very unprofessional. I can guarantee we will not spend another penny there. What kind of business owner does that junior high school nonsense?

Pretty good service. Luther is the owner and he is very knowledgeable and helpful when I comes to what you are looking for. It is a small business place but they have a wide range of selection. I would recommend going there if you need expertise advice. Reasonable prices too

Was at this business earlier in the week trying to help out a local business in theses hard times everything was good nice folks got the ammo I was looking for no problem but on the follow Friday I went up there with the same thought of great customer service and good atmosphere but as we were talking I said I recently purchased a fire arm from a different location and was told in no certain terms that I could not purchase ammo for said fire arm because I didn’t purchase it from there but three days ago they had no problems with selling me ammo I know this is not the way to do business and I will never shop there again and I will tell everyone that thinks about shopping there my experience

I stopped by on a Saturday on the way to Henry’s restaurant, looking for a .38 special. I had my family with me and had a nice conversation with the owner. After looking at other stores and online, I went back a couple of weeks later. Rufus gave me a great deal on a S&W nickel plated .38. I would highly recommend this locally owned store.

I bought a 12ga shotgun from this business about 2 months ago, Luther showed me how to change out the stock because it wasnt what I really wanted. After doing so a couple days later, I realized the gun had some cycling issues, so I brought it back to Luther, who said hed send it to his gunsmith. I called/ stopped by trying to get an update on the progress of my gun at least twice a week for well over a month and a half. Always getting the same answer, Im waiting on Randy to call me back. So finally, I asked for Randys info to see if Id have better luck. When i contacted Randy, he knew nothing about my gun, but Said Luther would give me Call. I waited for that call for the rest of the day. The very next day, I decided to stop by since I still hadnt recieved a call from Luther.At the store the next day, there was one customer being helped when I walked in. So I patiently waited for a good amount of time. While waiting, several other customers came in and were shown guns and given convo; meanwhile hes still too busy to talk to me. Only after interrupting him from doing the paperwork, (even though he didnt mind stopping that to show guns to the other customers) did he go to the back, bring my gun out, telling me that Randy had over looked it this entire time! And he just so happened to go by and pick it up yesterday, and instead of having Randy fix it. He just brought it back to the shop not repaired.Im nowhere near slow, he just never sent my gun off to be fixed, he just lied to me for 6/7 weeks about doing so.

Nice guy, had a ffl transfer done here. Can say it was done quickly and once the weapon arrived they called me promptly to notify me of the pick up. What more can you ask for. With all the information out there about weapons I would suggest that newbies take a look online or pay for a simple firearms safety course before purchasing a weapon of any kind to know how to operate and clean the weapon for full functional operation and reliability. Understand how to clear a weapon for safe handling and control over the weapon to avoid accidental discharges. I can understand that most people don’t think this is necessary but yet definitely is! Purchase is an investment in safety and a small investment could save lives! Acworth guns was very helpful and convenient thank you!

Been here twice, not great both times. Wouldn’t sell me ammo which I’m understanding of as its in kind of short supply right now. The second time I was out looking to purchase a new gun and asked to see a demo gun with a suppressor and how as told no. As I started looking around more another customer asked to see the same gun and the same person who told me no gladly got the gun out and let them see it. Cabelas is a mile awa I came here because I want to support small business but this made it impossible to come back for a third time.

Luther has always taken care of me and I think buying from a upstanding retired police officer is the least I can do. Fixing to get my sixth gun from there and trust me he tells it like it is. Awesome person

No one beats these guys on care for their customer or helping the clueless. Do not be intimidated if you have no clue on what to buy or even if you should buy, these guys are ex LE and former Glock Factory Gunsmiths. They WILL NOT hard sell or force sell or try to convince you on anything. The are real folks who love to help people. They may not have the upfront selection of Adventure Outdoors, but they can get anything you want and need that is legal, and they know ALL the laws, the guns, the tech, and human behaviour, this is the place to take your lady, or man or what have you.

I ordered a pistol from this shop. First I was told it would be in Wednesday. That didnt happen. Then I was told it would arrive Friday afternoon. I dont know if that happened or not because Im sitting here Saturday morning at 1030 and the damned place is closed. Hours are posted 10-5. This is starting to be a pain in the ass.

Highly disappointed, Luther gave misleading information about a gun that was on consignment, went to get the gun which was my Grandpas that had passed and he said that he had sold it the night before after 2 or 3 phone calls leading me on that the gun was still for sale..

I got the privilege of meeting Luther today at Acworth Guns. He called me and informed me that a firearm transfer had come in. The call was pleasant, informative, and most of all much quicker than other ffl I have dealt with in the past.Although limited in size, I found his inventory of guns to be impressive and more than competitive with local gun stores. Try finding an Over Under shotgun at an LGS. He has three available right now begging to shoot trap. Overall, he has a great variety of used guns and is knowledgeable about the firearms.I’ll be back to visit with him, because he’s fun to talk with and that Smith and Wesson looks nice!

This was my first time using this location as my FFL. I had my package show up on one Thursday and couldnt pick it up until the following Thursday - I was very angry about this. However after calling every few days and finally being able to come up and get my merchandise, I found out that the store had gone through some bad times with some stuff I wont mention on Google. The two owners of the building were very apologetic and very nice and I believe I will continue to use them as my FFL dealer. As for the shop itself it is a very small selection. But the owners of the building were very nice. I have read some of the other reviews on here and I can see that the younger guy that works here could have attitude problems but in this case I understand why so I will give them another shot as my FFL.

Acworth Guns.... I ordered a gun online to have delivered there, never again. Just because you work in a gun shop does not mean that you can just talk to your customers any type of way. That unfortunately is how you lose business. My gun arrived around noon, judging by my tracking #. So I go to pick it up, the guy says Did I call you yet um no, I was not aware that I needed to wait on a call! He said he would have it ready in a couple of hours, so I said Ill just come after 5. I show back up at 5:45 still not ready, he cries to me about being alone and not being able to do this in a timely manner, its not my problem. So he finally gets irritated and says Ill have it ready in 20 min, so I say Ill wait, then he says Ill just do it now since your here. Oh thank you for actually doing your job. So after all that he says it will be $35, but he himself told me three days before this the fee would be $25, so he backtracked and said $25 will be ok, petty ass bullsh__ for no reason other than he was having a tough day. Petty, Petty, Petty If I could give him zero stars I would

Stay away I had a weapon shipped and it arrived on time after receiving the email from FedEx I called the establishment two days later and the guy gave me a rash of crap he really thinks hes doing you a favor when actually you are paying him. Needless to say, I will never use this establishment again.

So sad... I like to stay loval and even more so with former military guys, but never again will I trust in this place. 4 months waiting on parts??? No thank you!!! Never agin!!!
