Friendly helpful staff

My husband and I came in at 4:55 (the store closed at 5) to get a gallon of paint....probably not the ideal ask at that moment, but we had a plan to paint that evening before having a carpet installed the following day. Patricia came through for us big time and made sure we got the right color, product and finish, paid for it while we waited and brought it out to us. Amazing service and we’re so glad this is our new local hardware store!

For a little town hardware store this place is the greatest I go in there I always can find what Im looking for and even if I cant theres always an abundant amount of staff to help me find something or assist me with something. Acton Ace Hardware has an amazing selection of products! They always have what I need at an affordable cost. Most of the employees are extremely kind and helpful but I have occasionally stumbled across others that are a little grumpy.

My lawnmower got “serviced” at the ace Acton location and cost $245 that’s more then it’s worth but anyway it wouldn’t start so I went in an talked to some guy who “fixed” it the guy looked like Peter from family guy and didn’t have a face mask on and he was very rood to me. I don’t know who this Peter looking guy is but I wouldn’t let him put a kids pinewood Derby car together.

I have typically had (until today) a good experience related to customer service and finding what I need here. Today, a man that seemed to be a shift manager of sorts (dark hair with a beard) was visibly impatient with more than one customer that asked for assistance, and then proclaimed very clearly within earshot of myself and the rest of the cashiers, I hate old people.If this were my store, Id find a new person to fill that rediculous excuse for an employees spot. I cant believe the nerve! Id rather drive 20 minutes to Lowes or Home depot now.

Great place to shop for tools used for any do it yourself project . Staff is very very friendly and helpful. I bought some tools which I did not use they took returns without any bickering. Its located right on route 27, very visible from main road . It has a big parking lot . It is always very pleasant to do business with them

Have everything youd expect at a small hardware store and a few things you wouldnt. Prices are middle of the road. Filled our small propane tank for $20. Our daughter loves to go in to see the birds.

A real local hardware store. Fine selection of nuts and screws down to small sizes. They do lawn mower and chainsaw repairs. And they have a few birds in cages around the store that is just great for the atmosphere.

Its closer than the big box stores and offers better service and higher quality items. In some cases they even have better selections too.

I have gone to Ace Hardware in Acton for over a 15 years. They have always been helpful and honest.The staff is excellent. They know the quality and functionality of the products they have. Mark sets the bar high and everyone measures up to it.Often I get things that I end up not needing. I simply take them back and get the credit. This makes it easy for a non specialist to fix things in his own house. If I describe what I need and they dont think they have the right ones, they tell me. While this does not happen often, it gives me more confidence I am in the right place.Moreover, they are part of the community supporting events like Acton Clean Up Day.This store is an asset to the area.

I love local hardware stores and Acton Ace doesnt dissatisfy. This place has a friendly staff (many who have been there for a 15+ years) and a large variety of products fit into a moderately sized footprint. I will always pick Acton Ace Hardware before heading to the big box stores and most often they satisfy my needs. Rental equipment, plumbing & electrical supplies, a great paint department, and even fancy gifts and home decor. Go local before going anywhere else.

They have stuff, but the pricing is weird. For example, I needed a small coupling...literally a cheap piece of metal with threads on it. They wanted seven bucks for it. Pretty sure this item is 1.50 at home depot. Also, I needed 6 inches of screen and was forced into buying like six feet. I come here, but only at gunpoint since theres no better option.

This store has the worst customer service. Mark treats customers like we are burdens, and unfortunately the impressionable kids that work there are starting to learn to treat people the same way.

Overall really good. The good: they are close, they have an awesome selection of screws and bolts, $5 coupons all the time. Their paint is Benjamin Moore, which is really good. The staff is pretty helpful. The bad: their power tool selection is dated, but why would you buy tools there anyway. Their electrical supplies are rather limited. Their prices are 10% higher than Home Depot. I wish they carried type S mortar.

Ace Hardware definitely has better prices than aubuchons on most products and also sends out 2 $5coupon every month, o and you dont even have to spend any money in order to get the coupons they just send them

This is the best hardware store in my local area they carry many more specialty items related to woodworking. Also the reason getting invited stars is because the amount of coupons and savings they give you for being a Rewards member

The staff is friendly and helpful. Its usual that someone is standing near the front door to welcome you and ask if they can help you find something. I love that they hire many of the local high school students. Additionally, this store is a great supporter of various community efforts! Shop local!!

I got very upset with their repair shop and felt CHEATED. Two weeks ago, I dropped my Stihl chainsaw at their shop to check-up and expected a phone call for an estimate. One week later, I got a call saying my chainsaw was repaired, including carburetor cleaning and lubricating some other components, which total costs 121dollars. I was offended as I did not authorize the repair, and to my knowledge that was illegal. I wanted to speak to their manager, and waited, and no one called me for one week.I finally went to the shop for an explanation, and they changed their story saying my Chainsaw was not repaired (Aha?!), and ask me about $189 if I wanted to do it. I end-up brought it back in a box (as it was dissembled) and not being informed what was wrong with my chainsaw. At the end, no one gave me either an explanation about that annoying phone call nor apologize. They should lose the Stihl dealership if they treat their customer this way.I have been a member of this local shop for years... but wont be anymore.

Have gone here for 2 years and have been willing to pay more to support a more local business even though service has not always been great. However, during a recent visit I approached 2 staff members to ask about my 4 year old daughter using their restroom. With one employee about to usher us back, the other stepped in to say we had to go to dunkin donuts. I gladly put back the items I had in hand, went next door and gave them some unexpected business.

In 2019, Ive experienced declining service with a fair amount of indifference from the staff. Like Im putting them out to ask a question and they have better things to do. Also they seem to keep only one or two of everything on the shelf, so they usually are out of stock on what I need.
