I took in my 2000 Chevy 1500 Because the check engine light was on and my truck was stuck in limp mode. They diagnosed the problem as a rodent had chewed all the wires for the transmission. (The truck sat for years on the farm)The truck was fixed in just a couple days after I brought it in.Good customer service throughout my experience with them.Fair price alsoI would definitely use them again if needed

DO NOT take your car here, trust me! Ill leave a better review once I finally get my car back from them. afraid they will sabotage if I explain right now. Find another transmission shop anywhere in abilene. Perhaps a real shop that doesnt buy gold and sell cars like these people 😂

I had issues with a third party warranty, and Ronnie Smith took care of everything and made it painless as much as possible. Mason, Chris, and Kenny were an exceptionally awesome team in helping me with my needs. Thank you so much!SincerelyEric R.

I took a 3/4 truck in that had been in a flood. They didnt sugar-coat it and told me like it was. I appreciated their honesty. They flushed it the best they could and sent me on my way with a thorough education on modern transmissions. When it grenades itself....which sounds likely, I will take it back to them for a new transmission!

Bo Boyce !! Trust me I am personally aware of what these people are about especially mason loves to take your money and try to call you and sell you even more parts you don’t need lol! They charged me 4500 for a 47re rebuild and nocked a hole in my trans pan then it never shifted right again someone really should sue these people. And of course they always have an excuse but that’s fine in fact if I had a small hole the fluid would just drip and they would call it good people please do not use these people anyone who buys and sells gold in the front of a transmission shop is no good

Why dont you mention the price on a Diagnostics which was $4,000 to rebuild my transmission, when I went to pick my truck up because they towed my truck to there shop, they charged me $350.00 for towing fee and Diagnostics. I appreciate that but I already knew the problem I just needed an estimate and $350 with a rude customer service representative who sure didnt care to help me load my truck back up on my trailer as if he didnt care to mess with me being that I wasnt gonna pay $4000 for a rebuild. Thanks for the service buddy but no thanks.

My husband and I were having an issue with our transmission and decided to get an opinion in addition to the one from the dealership. Ronnie Smith Transmission helped us out and ultimately we had to pay for them to rebuild our transmission. The people are really nice in person. However, trying to get good customer service on the phone or just finding out information about your vehicle when you are told it is to be done one day but its actually going to take longer is next to impossible. They dont call you until it is done...they dont call you to tell you it is going to take longer. To top it off, after we got it back we had 2 transmission issues. However, when we took it in, they just beat around the bush and were super unhelpful in telling us what the issue was on the one issue and the other they said is of course not their fault. Even though both issues didnt happen until they fixed our transmission. $3,100 + down the drain. Nice people, horrible service, which saddens me to say.

I recently had Ronnie Smith transmission replace a transmission in my work truck and they did an excellent job. They got the job done fast and were very competitive in price with the other companies in town. I would definitely recommend them.

Took my car in, as a member of the Smith family I thought it would be a great place to go. Worst idea, I knew for q fact as a mechanic there was nothing wrong with my transmission, but I dont have a lift. I have a bad driveshaft, would of been great if they told me they dont di thst type of work. But of course after a $125 unrefundable diagnosis they would tell you that. 1 star, I would absolutely by any means ever go here. Let me down as a Smith.
